“Theft from room & average at best”

I guess you should start with the worst - Money (10€) and a can of coke being stolen from our room by the cleaner. Yes… a can of coke!! How bizarre. We reported this to reception and the relations manager essentially accused us of lying and that she had “known us 5 minutes and she has to trust her staff when they say they didn’t do it”. Categorically items were stolen from our room which quite frankly ruined our opinion of the hotel with how badly it was dealt with too. I would 100% recommend locking EVERYTHING up and would actually go as far as recommending you stay elsewhere as I have no confidence in the staff nor the management team. If their stance is they take their staffs word over the customers then of course they know they’ll get away with it! We have better things to do on our holiday than complain over something so little if it didn’t happen! Eventually we were given some vouchers to use at the bar but everything was addressed so poorly and unprofessionally. The hotel itself is clean and quite big, it’s got good pool facilities however the pools are FREEZING and throughout the whole of our stay we couldn’t use them. Appreciate we did visit in May so this could have been the reason. The food at the hotel is not great at all, it’s very repetitive and the quality is poor. There’s not a great selection and would recommend eating outside of the hotel if possible. The overall service at the bars in the hotel is poor. The staff are run off their feet and you’ll find yourself stood at the bar for 10 minutes at least before you’re served. It would be my recommendation to stay seated and the waitresses eventually come round. That being said, the price and variety of drinks at the bar is very good and cheaper than most places. The location itself isn’t great. There are two towns either side which is a fair walk but once you get to them there are a lot of shops and cafes for you to visit which can make a nice day out. The train station is approx a 15 minute walk away and an 1hour10min journey into Barcelona. The evening entertainment at the hotel was enjoyable and suited for all types of travellers. Overall the hotel was clean and we had an enjoyable holiday for what we made of it but unfortunately it isn’t a place I would book and revisit.

“It’s been ok”

First family holiday with 4 children (6 of us) for one week, bed and breakfast only. Rooms are nice and clean. On arrival over 45 minutes with tired children etc because the receptionist made many errors - tried telling us we only had one room booked.. kids crying and screaming in lobby. Then went back down to pay tourist etc and had the same issue again, as she still did it wrong. Complete language barrier with most staff. Told me it would be ok after I had rest - this was the ‘manager’. Charge for everything, 1.50 for an iron use for your clothes, just all the basic stuff is a charge. No information pack on arrival, asked several times throughout our stay for activities etc and was told to look at the tv. Our last day is tomorrow and we have only just found out that there is a kids club every morning and evening after the show. We’ve completely missed out. The food is absolutely disgusting other than pancakes and fruit - even the kids will not eat it! All activities are at a charge. Favour the Spanish here, not sure if it’s residential? We have been ignored several times whilst Spanish are served. Manners are not here at all ! Asked for some extra milk for tea - it was pretty much thrown at me. Any question, feels like a problem. This is our first ever holiday as a family (myself and partner have been away before) and for a 4 star it’s absolutely shocking - I can’t believe this place has so many good reviews honestly? The entertainment is just their staff doing some very basic entertainment. Kids stuff is OK. All entertainment in same room - dancing in revealing outfits etc in front of children - not a fan! As stated, no information was given, even with the numerous times of asking. Even pool tables are at a charge in the hotel. The best thing about this hotel would be the indoor pool as the outside was cold even on the hot days! This hotel really lets itself down and could really benefit on working on some small things and personally replace all the food and it would be amazing as the hotel itself is absolutely stunning and right next to a beach, which is gorgeous. They make out lots to eat - I’d say they offer a great buffet, paid for the evening one evening. It’s actually just one restaurant and a bar. Nothing major.

Stayed for 1 week, all inclusive. Food good, (desserts really nice) cocktails horrible (out of a bottle), free beer/wine not great - limited choices on AI - you can pay additional for better options (EG bottled beers 1 Euro if your AI). Room was ok - overlooking the pool and sea view, but walls thin, could hear next room TV until 3am. Location not great-nothing to do outside of hotel, and its a bit of a sh!t hole-graffiti everywhere. Would not go back to the area. Train run from resort to Barcelona (22 Euros return for 2). Went for the day. Pools were really cold, but did manage the aqua fit (fun) a few times. (Sea was warmer than pools). Some of the sunbeds were really dirty around the pool, and the pool areas could have been cleaner. Staff all seemed friendly enough. Evening entertainment was ok - the Michael Jackson tribute was good dancer - but didn't really sound like MJ. The sports bar was privately hired out for functions on 2 separate occasions during our stay so we couldnt go in there - not great as the main area was kids entertainment until 10pm, (noisy) so found ourselves with no wear nice to go and sit, and have a drink.
