I must say I was a bit worried after reading some low rating reviews here - but after staying at Globales America for the past 4 nights, I can confirm that there was nothing to be concerned about. In fact I would stay here again! First of all, the hotel is so clean. The cleaning team is one of the best! Everything is immaculate. The rooms spotless as well as the rest of the hotel. They were always so polite. The rooms were a good size - and the views - wow! Stunning views from our balcony. There was a small fridge which was good (as well as a retractable towel dryer on the balcony which was a nice and handy to have feature!) pillows and bed comfy. Water pressure good. Great room! Location is brilliant! Walking distance to the beach (we noticed many hotels around were not that close or easy to access especially if you aren’t very mobile!) plenty of scenic coastal walks nearby too. Food - a lot mixed reviews here, which now I find a little unfair. There was lots of variety and choice. Fish was always delicious, there were themed cuisines each night (Italian, Asian, etc) and there were even ‘theatre’ stations with dishes being cooked and served fresh! Fruit so fresh (peaches and nectarines juicy and sweet, I couldn’t have enough of them!). Salads were fab! The deserts were lovely, my favourite were the cakes (!) make sure you try them all, as I found out there are not served everyday, you won’t want to miss it! Staff were so friendly and polite too. The only food which wasn’t so good was the one served at the snack bar/ canteen, the pizzas weren’t the best and alcoholic drinks not up to the standards I had in an all inclusive hotel (wines and beer on tap as well as juices, anything bottled you had to pay extra) but that was ok when everything else was so good. I didn’t have a problem with drinking water not being bottled. I brought my own reusable bottle and this way we are achieving the whole point of reducing waste! Entertainment was ok, the ‘animation’ team was very hard working and friendly. The shows/acts wholesome with some family acts (the magician number was a couple and their daughter - really lovely!) I noticed the hotel entertainment team were so good with the children - they genuinely cared and enjoyed getting everybody dancing and having fun. Massage - omg make sure you book one! There was a deal when we were there €49 for one full hour of bliss - Mary Rose is fabulous! We had two massages in the end, it was that good! The massage room at the America has a sea view, you can relax to the sound of the waves! Excellent. (You may need to go to the globales Samoa next door during certain times but if you can try and book at the America the view is worth it!) The beach - €15.50 for two loungers under one parasol, all day, all maned by the council worker who also looked after the beach and public toilet which were very clean. You can pay less, €5 per chair with no parasol if you choose too. All in all a lovely stay, would recommend! Definitely don’t go by the poor reviews - and make your own mind is my advice! Food was fresh and good selection but can be busy. There was always sunbeds available at pool (but not peak season). Staff were sadly unhelpful, rude and unprofessional. We were allocated a room without balcony, we requested a change and were happy to pay but just got refused telling us hotel was full (it wasn't). The bathrooms in rooms only have a frosted glass door so limited privacy! We were on 5th floor and found a large cockroach, I dealt with it (it was midnight) but we reported to staff, they found it quite funny and the assistant manager was incredibly rude and advised I should have gone looking for a security guard to deal with it! No apology! The beach was pretty and the area nice and quiet. Based on staff attitude alone I would not re-visit this hotel.

Food not as good this year, fish,fish and more fish, usual chips etc fish dishes i.e. mussells placed next to other dishes which may cause issues if allergic. Run out of deserts on two nights. This was our second time here and noticed a difference to last time here. Breakfast OK, not proper bacon though. Animation team work hard, entertainment hit and miss, be prepared for chain smoking holiday makers around the pool and on their balconies which blows into your room if your doors are open, even smell cannabis some nights from balcony smokers. No working Aircon in the room. Ventilation shaft in toilet noisy and can also hear next door chatting or in our case hear them arguing through the vent. Be ready at 9 to get a sunbed on hot days. Beach fabulous though. I would rate it a 3 star this year

First thing to note is ALL rooms have sea views. Some views are better than others but currently on a well known holiday website this is costed as an upgrade!. First thing to note is ALL rooms have sea views. Some views are better than others but currently on a well known holiday website this is costed as an upgrade!. Do not pay the extra fee for a sea view and balcony as I did because you will have one. Mine had a nice view of the massage parlour roof and a gas tank- worth every penny extra I paid! Hotel location excellent - Calas Domingo beach excellent Hotel is spotlessly clean, rooms are ok, staff friendly. Special mention to the animation team who worked wonders with the kids Adult entertainment-didn’t bother The room safe hire is a joke at over 70 Euros for two weeks. Drink selection a little patchy as anything decent you pay extra for. Food could have been much better. A large hot servery but both sides are exactly the same so looks more than there actually is. Reasonable variety in both hot and cold over two weeks, I didn’t feel hungry and I wasn’t I’ll! Although food was food and not that enjoyable as a dining experience. All in all pretty basic place with excellent surroundings. Little shopping precinct area just up the road which is worth a visit. Transport links at the top of town but prebook for best prices.
