We have stayed here a lot of time this time we stayed here 6 nights half board Hotel is straight off the beach front And 10 minutes drive from the airport Don’t bother with a transfer get a taxi 15 euros Room is spacious and clean cleaned everyday nice toiletries in bathroom no English tv seemed to be a problem with the signal only one Channel which was news in english Staff work really hard lots of happy staff We started half board couldn’t fault it Breakfast plenty of choice great freshly made omelettes ,cooked breakfast. Smoothies. Fruit ,pastries Dinner we always found something to eat plenty of meat and fish dishes lots of lovely salad dishes cakes and fruit Now for the animation team one lovely lady called Kate who works very hard There was yoga , air rifle shooting . Bingo quiz night and music throughout the week which we participated in The pool was cold so we didn’t bother plenty of sun beds so no need to rush down and out your towel on We did eat at Lins which is a short walk to the centre from the hotel food delicious All in all a lovely relaxing time We will definitely be returning

“Nice hotel”

Hotel in good location. Beach in front. Left to town and harbour. Right to other beaches and shopping centre. Junior suite very spacious and clean. Large balcony. Room cleaned and towel change every day. Swimming pool very cold. Pool bar ok, didn't try the food there. Good selection of food ... more

Hotel in good location. Beach in front. Left to town and harbour. Right to other beaches and shopping centre. Junior suite very spacious and clean. Large balcony. Room cleaned and towel change every day. Swimming pool very cold. Pool bar ok, didn't try the food there. Good selection of food in restaurant, could be hotter at times. We found staff very friendly and helpful except one in restaurant. Only downside for us was that the front of the hotel was semi enclosed and was used for all the smokers. You had to walk through this to get into the hotel. This was also the area for the evening entertainment so we couldn't participate as the smoke and smell was awful.

Was holding back my review but to be honest no point not outlining how I feel personally. Stayed here Sunday 10th - Sunday 17th March 2024. I’ve reviewed this Hotel before as we are repeat customers so a bit will read the same description as my last review last year. We booked a premium sea view junior suite like last year. Requested the same room but they were unable to accommodate but gave us the floor below and the next room along. Suite was so nice. We were in room 231. Bed was big. Mattress seemed a bit soft. Maybe just due to use really. Tv on dressing table which also had a chair at it and also there was another chair in bedroom. Safe in room which is free to use. Bathroom has 2 sinks, shower over bath, hairdryer and assorted toiletries should you wish to use. Nice touch having a hand cream dispenser too. Toilet is in bathroom but has a sliding door so can be used in privacy separate to bathroom area if needed and also a bidet in this part too. Phone in bathroom which is a bit odd 😂 Living room area nice enough. Couch facing the tv but tv in bedroom bigger than living room one. Dining Table and chairs in living room too. There is patio doors at living room and bedroom which both lead out to your private balcony. Perfect views of the beach and sea and got the sun well. On the patio there was a table and 2 chairs. Would have been nice if there was a lounger up here but just me being picky. Nice high walls between the neighbouring rooms on the balcony so couldn’t see neighbours either side. The kitchen. Now this was where I found the problem to be. Small but functional in the sense a fridge, hob, micro not that we done any cooking but there was only 2 of each items - so 2 knives, 2 plates etc. so meant washing up every time whereas any other place I’ve stayed over here you get maybe 6 of each. Also no plug for sink so washing was more rinsing under tap and sponge. No tea towel in kitchen either so had to end up using a hand towel from bathroom for this (again tbe 2 towel rule for bathroom also. 2 hand and 2 bath). Only 2 glasses we had were short glass ones and being a spirit drinker it didn’t work out easy to use. Cleaner was in every day. Fresh towels, bed made, sheets not changed every day but still made up but that’s ok for me. Flooring was laminate which was mopped down whilst there too. Lovely friendly lady. We did only stay bed and breakfast and didn’t eat other meals in place so can’t comment on them but breakfast was absolutely fine for us. Ran from 07:30-10:30. Buffet style. Can’t remember everything that was in it but a quick summary was stuff like bacon, eggs, sausages, hash browns, bread and rolls to toast, fresh fruit, pancakes, churros, assorted cakes, croissants, muffins, cold meats and cheeses, ham and cheese toasties, cereals, yoghurt, hot drinks, various fruit juices. Staff cleared promptly and stock replenished very well. Can’t comment on evening entertainment as didn’t go down but bar area seemed busy but no night was noisy or rowdy. Location of this hotel is I’d probably say a 10 min walk to the central part which has eating places, bars etc so a good location I’d say. So. Where’s the real problems then? Well I happened to find out after we arrived there that there was some drilling work getting carried out on the tiling on the premium sea view junior suites. We happened to find this out after speaking to others who had booked a package holiday and were advised of this and given the option to switch hotels. We booked direct and this was not made aware to us. The drilling did indeed start on Monday morning and went on until Friday so we had 5 days of drilling and the room getting work done was below us. I did speak to reception I think was on the Tuesday and I definitely said again a couple days later and the man was most apologetic about it. Now to be completely fair we didn’t hear the drilling go on for all day but it did start just after 8am on a few days but the noise was spread out through the day until approx 17:30. On the Tuesday I looked on the hotel website to see if their was any upgraded rooms as I would have expected a room upgrade should we have had to be moved as the premium sea view junior suites aren’t exactly cheap but the hotel website advised no availability for this time. So due to personal reasons not wishing to be in a lesser room in an area we did not wish we thought all we could do was put up with it. When home I emailed the hotel outlining my thoughts and how it affected us. Even advising I had taken a video to show the noise heard in the room with the door shut. Sadly the hotel didn’t seem to care and it even reads that we are getting blamed for being in the hotel so much as if we were our we wouldn’t have heard it. Considering this holiday was needed to be a relaxing one due to personal reasons and since we have visited the island so many times over the years we do enjoy maybe a low on or a relaxing start to the day before heading out and that’s why we choose such a lovely suite. I’ve also had to read from the manager that others were moved rooms and given the different in cost refunded back to them and since I didn’t complain then they thought we were ok - but I did complain twice and since it was the room right below us then I would assume all would not have been right. I’ve been in touch with some of the package holiday guests from that time and know they have opened claims so will be interested to see if it’s what I feel and they are favouring the package holiday ones before direct bookings which I suspect they are due to making more money out those guys. Hotel offered 20% off a future stay but that’s undecided if we would wish to return due to how we have been made to feel. I contacted my credit card who advised since I’ve contacted the hotel and allowed 15 days for reply then I can request a section 75 as I have in email that the hotel admit to have not telling us of the building work getting carried out but it’s a shame I’m left not feeling like a valued customer - they even didn’t recognaise my husbands birthday like they are usually so good at honouring birthdays. Another kick for the not feeling valued.
