“Great Hotel, Friendly Staff, Very Accommodating”

We have just returned from a week’s stay at Eurostars Las Salinas, this hotel is situated right on the beach front which has plenty of sunbeds ( small charge for 2 beds and umbrella ) the hotel also has at least two swimming pools with free beds although we did not use these. Outside the hotel is a boardwalk for nice walks, if you turn right the walk is shorter this way. The hotel itself is kept incredibly clean with staff working throughout the day, our room was very large and spacious with a sea view, very comfortable beds, plenty of storage in the bedroom plus a comfy chair, 2 x TV's ( one in the bedroom and one in the living area, which we didn’t even turn on ) a sofa, small dining table and chairs, a small kitchen area containing basic utensils if you want to cook, we didn't and a very modern bathroom all of which was kept incredibly clean. All staff at the hotel were very, very helpful, friendly and approachable, we stayed half board and the food in the restaurant was of a good standard, despite previous comments ( no pleasing some people and I consider myself a very fussy eater ) with a very varied choice and plenty of it, we could not fault it, there was a huge choice at breakfast, coffee, fresh juices, smoothies, yoghurts, fresh fruits, every pastry you can imagine, churros, pancakes, omelettes, full English and a huge selection of cold meats, cheeses and olives and breads etc, again in the evening there was a huge choice, soup, cold mezzes and salads, cheeses and at least 6 different hot dishes with accompanying sides plus a fish and meat dish cooked fresh on the grill, anyone who moans about the food are moaning for the sake of it, there is something for everyone ! Parts of the outside of the hotel could do with a lick of paint, although I have read reviews where people say to shut the hotel down, paint and refurb from top to bottom, really ? It certainly didn’t bother us, hardly noticed it, some people just like a moan, if you go around studying this sort of thing you need to get a life ! The hotel is a short distance from the airport and a taxi costs 15 Euro and the reception staff are more than happy to book this for your return journey, our taxi arrived promptly with no issues. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend.

“This is not a 4 star resort”

Just returned from a 7 night stay. This wasn’t the most expensive all inclusive I’ve been on however I still booked this resort with reasonable expectations given the 4 star rating and mostly positive TripAdvisor reviews, and together with the close proximity to the airport and beach. Sadly the reviews do not reflect the reality of the resort. There was approx 30 minute queue to check in as only one person working reception. The room overall was fine albeit it dated and the beds not particularly comfortable. The cleaner visits daily but only to make the beds and change the towels. Some days we noticed the bed sheets hadn’t been changed, no toilet rolls and no shower gel refills. The floors weren’t cleaned properly, if at all, during our stay. The main pool was closed for 5 of 7 days and we only found this out by seeing it ourselves the morning after arriving. The “entertainment” was simply terrible, and consists of a pallet on the ground outside reception (stage), upon which you’ll find either a below average singer or some nights a lady with a laptop playing music. If you’re more inclined to spend the evening in the lobby/bar, you’ll be equally disappointed to find a very dull and quiet room with a few chairs and a bar with one attendant. We opted to buy some alcohol from the nearby shops and spend the evening on our balcony. The hotels condition overall is quite poor considering the 4 star rating e.g. broken windows, lights flashing or out For us, most important is food and all the other things can be considered minor as they do not fundamentally affect the holiday. The food in Las Salinas is limited in options and variety, it is a very small buffet area considering the size of the restaurant. The food is cold at majority of sittings and is average at best in quality considering the 4 stars. We have stayed at 3-3plus resorts in which the food has blown Las Salinas out of the water. We contacted our holiday provider at the start of our week to enquire about checking out but unfortunately they couldn’t help. We opted to eat out on several occasions during our stay. We were fortunately able to have ourselves a good weeks holiday but the theme for us regarding the hotel was “disappointing” and certainly wouldn’t return or recommend to others.
