Love this hotel, great downtown location. Close to warter front. Numerous, pubs and restaurants. Rooms are spacious, clean , wonderful. Staff excellent. Rate was very good . Will return happily.

If you haven’t checked out the Marriott in Kingston you don’t know what you’re missing. The hotel has been completely renovated since it took over from the Four Points by Sheraton and it is gorgeous. We were offered an upgrade at check-in to a King Water View on the top floor which we happily accepted. We were so pleasantly surprised when we opened our door. The room was very spacious with modern and pretty decor. My husband was impressed with the giant TV (it had to be at least 75in). The bathroom was also quite large. The shower had fantastic water pressure and even a shaving bar for the ladies. The amenities were lovely as well. They included mouthwash which you don’t see often anymore. There were slippers and robes in the room, a safe, iron & ironing board and extra blankets. There was also a nice assortment of coffee and tea. Everywhere I go, I always try the room coffee and I was impressed with this one. It was very tasty. There was water in the lobby in the afternoon and coffee in the morning which was a nice touch. We didn’t try the bar or restaurant but I know that I’ll be back. Checkout was at noon and that extra hour really makes a difference after a night on the town. We were able to leave our car in the underground parking while we wandered around the next morning which was another lovely offering. There are only a couple areas that could be improved on and they aren’t even deal breakers. There was only one bottle of water in the room rather than two. We had to share. They are undergoing renovations in their underground parking but that’s not the problem. The door to get into the parking is quite narrow. If you’re not a confident driver this would be off-putting. The parking spaces themselves are also very narrow. If the garage was full there would have been challenges opening your doors. As for the construction, if you’ve ever been to Europe in underground parking…this was comparable. 😂 As mentioned above, I will definitely be back to this beautiful hotel. Definitely our new favourite in Kingston.

I have never before complained regarding a stay at any property with Bonvoy. However on this occasion, I am extremely disappointed with the room/rate and service provided. I booked a rate that allowed us to bring our dogs with us, including access to the M lounge, in both instances I was surprised by the lack of attention. The reception agent handed us a cookie and a room sign that designated the room to have dogs in it. That was it. That was where the attention ended. Although the room rate was $111.00 more than the prepay rate, no further service was provided, no dog bed, no water bowl, no mention of the $25 gift card to local store or donation to local pet charity as advertised. Secondly, the M lounge had no breakfast service, snack service consisted of empty wicker bowls and refreshments in two fridges, when I inquired on tea service, a female employee pointed to a station and indicated "tea" "hot water" and promptly left. I was willing to let the long dark hairs on the shower wall , go by unmentioned but should include that with the overall lack of care at this hotel! To say that I was disappointed and unhappy with the service/rate and overall experience is an understatement. I have not received a guest survey from the hotel, so am using this outlet, prior to posting my review on goole and trip advisor.
