I'd always loved Crowne Plaza and this time I chose to stay here with my mother for a special occasion in Shanghai. About 40 mins / RMB 170 from Pudong Airport to Crowne Plaza Shanghai Pudong; the vicinity gave us a different experience, though the hotel was not situated in the city center, the hotel provided a free shuttle bus to Century Avenue Station / InterContinental Hotel for easy access. We took the free shuttle bus a few times and got ourselves a One Day Pass on the train for RMB 18 during our short stay in Shanghai. Room was spacious, thank you to the Duty Manager for the re-arrangement on the room number as it was a bit odd for us Cantonese to stay on 14/F, in particular for my birthday trip. With a special note to the hotel prior to our stay, I let them know I was travelling with my mother to celebrate the day she suffered from giving birth to me, and they surprised her with some lovely amenities set in the room. The room had everything we needed for a great stay, powerful shower, bathtub, very comfy bedding and pillows; it would be nicer if there was a coffee machine in the room, though I enjoyed my welcome drink - a fresh brewed coffee at the lobby lounge as an IHG Rewards Club member. Thank you Joney - the General Manager and his team for the excellent hospitality over the weekend. It was truly a great experience for us and we needed this decent break from where we came from. Will certainly stay with you again the next time we visit Shanghai and Hangzhou.

I liked my stay in this hotel mainly because of the friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was excellent too, it included a great variety with a taste for every nationality. Only the club sandwich from the room service was served half empty with 2 triangles of bread instead of the usual 4, it can be also my fault because I opted for a discounted promotion of 88 RMB, maybe if I have paid the full price I would get a proper club sandwich. The location of the hotel is about 35 minutes away from the city center by taxi. The room was comfortable in spite of the outdated decorations.

this is one of the convenience hotel located in Pudong, which I have been stayed for a few times during my business trip to Shanghai. the hotel is good. Breakfast is very good with big variety. I love it a lot. You can find any kinds of food there. However, the service need to be improved. I still remember, I booked the room for 5 days and to check out on 7th December 2019. On that day morning around 7:30 to 8 am, cleaning lady approached my door and knocked and tried to enter to do the cleaning. First, the time is way too early. I never encounter such early cleaning services. I wondered by was that. Second, the hotel has a record to show that I am checking out on that day, I think for such guest, hotel knows, no cleaning is required, isn't it? I am not happy on such encounters. That must be a lack of internal communication and training. That should not happened to such 5 star hotels.
