Great hotel, staff very friendly, very clean all round the hotel excellent stay only downfall lifts are very slow maybe not enough for amount of people staying here. Bar prices are a bit over the top compared to bars close by ie bottle of coors lager €5.50 compared to €3.00 across road in coco's

We spent a week here in May 2024 20th-27th. We have never stayed in Benalmadena before and this hotel for a self catering came up a very good price for a mountain view room so i will review honestly as a mum with 2 children ages 7 & 11 staying in a family room with m husband also. We spent a week here in May 2024 20th-27th. We have never stayed in Benalmadena before and this hotel for a self catering came up a very good price for a mountain view room so i will review honestly as a mum with 2 children ages 7 & 11 staying in a family room with m husband also. Hope this helps :) Mountain View Room Our room was everything we needed a spacious living area with a little bathroom a small kitchen with all the utensils and cooking equipment needed- fridge freezer, Oven, Microwave & Kettle. Beautiful balcony which overlooked the mountains with a busy road in between. I didn't see it to noisy and was able to sleep fine on the night. We had one double bed in a bedroom with sliding wooden doors. There is a light on the step which is bright and is clearly for health and safety in the evening but anyone needing full dark to sleep will find this an issue. The Children had a large pull out sofa bed in the living room which we where allowed to keep up and dint have to pack away everyday which was a great help. Bedding was available in the large built in wardrobe - best wardrobe size I've experienced in a SC/ AI hotel. Would be a blessing if the hotel could provide more coat hangers in family rooms but this is the same in every hotel and we end up folding clothes or bringing our own hangers. FREE SAFE - this is a massive benefit of this hotel and you can feel secure leaving all your valuables in there. We never had any issues leaving things out anyway this is a very trustworthy hotel! Ironing Board and iron is a plus so thank you. Only negative to the room is the dated hairdryer but I understand for the hotel size. Ours was tiny and me and my two girls have very very long hair so took forever to get hairs dried- however not a negative simply be aware and bring your own. Our room was cleaned to a high standard everyday and I couldn't fault the cleaners the hotel itself was immaculate! Smelt and looked beautiful everyday. The Pool / Pool bars The pools are beautiful and considering there is a full drought in that area we felt very lucky to still have that option. Water can be cold depending on the day but your in a hot country the water will always feel like a shock but after a couple of minuets was fine. The bars around the pool are eye catching and the staff polite. The only downside is the drink prices they really are very expensive. Luckily we are not big drinkers and are used to AI but 4 euro for the smallest slush is just alot when you have a few children Kids Milkshakes 8euro. Spirit and mixers we where charged 9.80 euro for one. I got a few iced coffees at the ice cream tuck which where Starbucks and lovely ranging from 5.50euro to 6.50euro which is Starbucks prices. That would be my only negative the prices you cant eat and drink around the pool for a good price if your in a family. We preferred spending that money on a nice sit down meal and cocktails in the harbour. I can not comment on the food as we didnt stay in the hotel for food at all. Hotel amenities / View / Location/ Grounds This hotel is in a stunning location. Right on the beach overlooking the sea. The views from the morning sunrise are just unreal. One morning even seeing dolphins playing in the sea! if you like photography and a morning stroll this hotel is great. There is 2 supermarkets over the road DIA and Supermercado which we went to both and found good, well stocked and convenient. Same prices as Tescos and Morrisons in the UK id say. The hotels glass viewing point is simply stunning you can see for miles and is such a good feature for this location. BUS STOP is just up the road to the left and a bus is 6.55 to Benalmadena harbour / Torremolinos and 6.75euros to Malaga which is beautiful and took around 1hr 35 to reach the day we went. If you want nice walks into the harbour and to see a lot of Benalmadena this is the hotel for you. Taking around 22 mins to walk from the hotel to the harbour with children is not a bad thing i didn't think. Allowed u to see a lot on the way we may have missed staying directly in the marina. The beach was lovely shelly sands which the children loved collecting. Sea was very very cold for this time of year but we still got in the taxi driver explained it was because of the lack of rain and winds they had been experiencing. BAG STORAGE / CHANGING ROOMS - On the last day we checked out at 12 but didn't fly until 9pm . The hotel have a great storage facilities with lockers big enough for suitcases they are 2euro for 24 hours (only downside if you open you have to repay) Make sure you have everything you need before you lock it ! hey also have a changing room down the corridor for you to shower and get into clean clothes. All in all fab facility to offer. Entertainment is on every night in the moonlight bar - we always managed to get a seat. I imagine in the height of summer it gets very hot and busy in their. Bar staff where rapid acts where very good quality we seen, Ed Sheeran, Adele and Tina Turner. There is a mini disco from 830 which our children are too old for but we caught it one night and the staff where superb with the children playing games and dancing etc. There is also a film club should the weather be bad and the children can watch a Disney. The shop onsite has everything you can want we visited there a few times for snacks and drinks. Also has a fresh bakery where we enjoyed some nice pastries for breakfast. All in all the staff where polite and friendly. The room was beautiful. The taxis outside was an added benefit with cheap prices to the marina and back on a night. We had read very bad reviews about noise and people only caring about wedding etc. We didn't experience any of the biased behaviour and was nice to see the wedding parties all dressed up walking through enjoying their day. Only one night we experience a fight between an Irish couple from their balcony screaming and shouting but it lasted 10 mins and was clearly due to excessive amounts of alcohol we just brought the children in and shut the balcony doors. The hotel are responsible for keeping noise to a minimum and we seen two security guards in our stay there walking round however the hotel can not be held responsible for how people behave and drink excessive amounts of alcohol then come back to the room and cause trouble. People must remember this is a family hotel and to act accordingly so the hotel don't have to get security involved. Thank you for a beautiful stay. Should we visit Benalmadena again we wouldn't hesitate to use this hotel again.

“No apology No help”

I’m a week back from a wk in this hotel. It was amazing some staff were fantastic but on the 2nd last day there I was in the shop getting a few things when I had a very bad fall in the shop.there was a puddle of water on the floor when I slipped on it and went flying on the floor my bits went fly... more

I’m a week back from a wk in this hotel. It was amazing some staff were fantastic but on the 2nd last day there I was in the shop getting a few things when I had a very bad fall in the shop.there was a puddle of water on the floor when I slipped on it and went flying on the floor my bits went flying.a man in the shop helped me he shouted for help when one girl came n just picked up my bag it was this man in the shop who helped n straight away something was said in Spanish and a girl came running out with a mop to wipe the floor.it was hard for me to get up as iv had a stroke on the rite side (i went dwn on my left side) which helps me but it was this man who helped me I rang to speak to a manager to be told id have to go dwn to reception to talk to one when she came o told her about what happened.not any apologise but was told the head manager would call me or contact me by email.im a wk home to Ireland 🇮🇪and not a word from sunset I will not be returning
