“Nice and quiet”

Dinner in nice location however service and food not great Overall nice stay with even a bit of rain when we departed. to bad, as we were unable to enjoy the view from our room. We can recomend this place.

“Great Views - Peaceful- could be so much more”

We stayed here for 3 nights and the drive up is rustic. Not bad - just winding and narrow. On arriving at the hotel we were pleasantly surprised at the layout but when we went into reception and caught sight of those views - we were very very pleased. Check in was very pleasant - really friendly reception staff. Our room was lovely - not huge but we had a small balcony with lovely view so this made up for it. Lovely clean room with a separate dressing room and place to store luggage. Very handy. Lots of toiletries and towels and décor is lovely. We had a walk "Up" to the pool and were a bit disappointed. It was covered in pine needles as there were lost of trees surrounding it. But when we went up the next day it had been cleaned and we spent a few hours relaxing. Pool not perfect but it does the job. We spent dome time on the famous terrace overlooking Perugia and Assisi and it could not be more beautiful. We had to look for someone to bring us a drink but when we found her she was friendly and efficient. We booked a table in the restaurant for the first night and I was looking forward to trying some tasty dishes. There were 2 people waiting tables on the terrace and although there were only a few tables full we had to wait a while for our menus. When we did order we were waiting a long time. We had to call him again to order a drink. We also asked a couple of times for olive oil but none came. There were a table of 6 people(Maybe locals) who seem to be getting all of the attention. I though this was very unprofessional. The staff were NOT very friendly/ Food was lovely though but we decided not to repeat our visit. This again is up the hill on the way out of the hotel so its not really part of the hotel itself. Setting was lovely though. We had to travel a good way the other evenings for food because it is a bit out in the countryside. Lovely and peaceful though. Close enough to Perugia and Assisi for a visit. Lovely other little towns dotted around. Breakfast was nice enough but not a great deal to chose from. I would recommend this for a peaceful getaway. Not much going on in the hotel bar.

Hey, it is the same two Canadian couples, staying here for four nights this time. We used this a base to visit Assisi, Spello, Bagnoregio, Todi Pros: - Great views from the hotel lobby. - friendly staff. - good breakfast, could even take it out on the large tented balcony area they have. - "Pam" grocery store at the bottom of the drive up to the hotel. - ample free parking. Cons: - very long meandering drive up the hill to the hotel. You will often wonder if you have gone past the Hotel if attempting to drive to it in the dark. - room décor is stuck back in the 1970's. - bed low to the ground, like it's missing the mattress and only has the box spring. - Restaurant next door, not attached to the hotel (the only one accessible on foot) was somewhat costly and did not meet expectations. Would we go back? We would probably explore other options.
