We stayed here as a family of four with two young kids and had a great time. Checking in was a breeze and the staff was 10/10 amazing. The hotel itself (lobby, building, elevators) are clean and pleasant. Beautifully decorated. Parking garage is connected to the hotel (unlike in some other hotels where you have to hike to get to the their garage) so that’s very convenient. Our room was lovely. Clean floors and bathroom. Very comfortable beds and pillows. All essentials are there. The only slight issue we ran into is that we didn’t know the upper windows in our room were left open (likely by housekeeping) when we checked in. We immediately closed the blinds to get the kids to bed as we arrived past 8 and didn’t notice (or anticipate) open windows in our room in early April. Throughout the night, we were so confused as to why we can hear everything outside and why it was so cold. My husband checked to see if the windows were closed and confirmed that they were - not noticing that there are separate higher up windows that were actually open. We didn’t see them until the morning. This was a non-issue as these things can happen. Just a tip to double check the windows and to look up. You’d be a lot more comfortable not very clearly hearing sirens every few hours. Hotel has ice machines and water filling stations. We had breakfast at their on-site restaurant on the 18th floor and it was great! Staff was great with the kids - had a kids menu, crayons, coloring page, etc - and they accommodated the kids’ needs. Most importantly - the food was delicious! Overall we would gladly stay here again. Location is excellent, staff was REALLY terrific, and everything was great!

My wife and our 6 and 8 year old kids had a fantastic stay at Chateau Victoria. Check-in was simple and fast. I had booked our stay through BC Ferries Vacations and got a great deal. Unloading from our car at the main entrance was a breeze and parking on site (included in our package) was a huge perk over other hotels in the area. There was always a parking spot when we came back from an outing. Proximity to the inner harbour was great. Close enough that it was easy to pop back and forth for a mid-day rest, but far enough to find some respite from the crowds on a long weekend. All the staff that we encountered were fabulous. Very friendly (and didn't feel disingenuous). We had breakfast one morning at Vista 18 on the top floor. Quality meal at very reasonable price, great service, and a spectacular view. Our room was a Deluxe 1 bedroom, 2 queen suite with kitchenette on the 15th floor. We had a balcony and great view. The room was quiet, large and more than met our needs. Our room was warm at night so we found that keeping the sliding door open was better at keeping the room cool rather than using the a/c unit which kicked on and off frequently and was very loud. Our one minor complaint came from when we were using the pool. An attendant came in and sprayed a mystery chemical into the pool and hot tub while our kids and other kids were in it. Then he sprinkled granulated chlorine into the hot tub. I feel like this could be done outside of pool hours. The chlorine level seemed to be kept very high as our eyes stung just from standing near the hot tub and our skin was pretty dried out by the end of our stay even though we showered immediately after using the pool and tub. But the facility was clean and bright and towels were stocked regularly. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would return again in the future.

“Good hotel, great location”

The location is incredible. Very central. The staff is very friendly and professional. They really want to cater to your needs. The room was small but well equipped and clean. The courtesy shuttle is a nice touch. I strongly recommend this place.
