Visited the Ocean hill for a short break. Got to the hotel around 8.50pm after a long day of travel to be pleasantly surprised. On arrival I was informed that the restaurant would soon close but I could check in after eating if I wanted and that some food had been left in my room for me. I decided to check in and go to my room where I found a loaf and items to make sandwiches or toast. I thought this was a nice touch. I found the hotel to be very clean and well presented with the rooms being comfortable. The kitchen had a coffee machine and toaster along with things needed for a self catering stay. The restaurant was very nice with great views and I found the food hot and fresh for all of my visits. The staff were great with a special mention to the English lady (Lucy I think). The breakfast selection was varied as was the evening meal. I used the gym each day which was small but had most things I needed. The hotel is close to a shopping centre which has plenty of bars and places to eat too. I would recommend friends to try here. Only minor gripes I had were the last of mats in the gym for doing floor workouts, no water machine in the gym and the cable machine was overly complicated. Also if visiting it's worth noting the hotel is located at the top of a very large hillside which has very steep roads to the town and beach area which is definitely not good if you have mobility issues but a taxi ride isn't expensive. Overall a great hotel.

Lovely hotel with amazing views from every angle! Ocean Hill is situated high up from Puerto Rico centre, so it’s a quiet and relaxing haven to come back to away from busier areas. If you’re after nightly entertainment though, you’ll need to go out and find it as there is only the Pool Bar to sit at in evening, which has more of a chilled vibe. However, the DJ on Sunday night played a good playlist ;-) Room was really spacious, apartment style with added bonus of a fridge, kettle etc. Large balcony with 2 sunbeds and table & chairs, and the room and all hotel areas are spotlessly clean. All staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive, and food pretty good and plenty of it. We arrived at 8:30pm with half an hour to spare before the restaurant closed so were able to get some food, and a glass of rosé after a long day went down really well. Pool area is also very relaxing (are you sensing a theme going on here?) Plenty of beds so you don’t have to do the ‘towel reservation thing’. Again, chilled vibe round the pool due to adults only and no kids with inflatables… win, win! Best beach… turn left out of hotel and walk down to Playa de Amadores, takes about 25 mins, but you really get the best views and the beach is much nicer than the smaller one down in Puerto Rico. 2 x sunbeds + umbrella €12 for the day, lovely clear water, great for swimming and some good food places on the front. Taxi back up to hotel about €4. A few suggestions: pillows are a bit lumpy/hard (although I’m sure if I’d asked they would have supplied softer pillow). A mirror in the bedroom by a power socket would be an advantage as well. Definitely would recommend this hotel and would quite happily visit again :-)
