The whole holiday was absolutely perfect, the pools were massive and never seemed to be overcrowded, and at around 4-5:00 everyone left to go back to their rooms and we had the pool to ourselves. The only negative with the pools was that it got quite windy at times so any inflatables have to be well secured, but obviously that can't be controlled by them. The food was brilliant, there was always something for everyone, even fussy eaters as there are 3 sections all with different selections. There was also themed nights such as Indian and Italian which were expertly done, and still provided the standard food for anyone not interested. The location was perfect as we were not too far from the airport and it was a direct journey there with some expert driving by the coach and didn't take any more than half an hour to get from the airport to the resort. There are so many facilities and things to do, with our favourite being the water park which had a variety of slides that never got boring. The evening entertainment was great, with my favourite being the Queen cover, however for anyone staying for 2 weeks like we did, it does get repetitive, however there are plenty of bars to go to that are never too busy for anyone not interested. Finally, the staff were perfect. Behind the bars, everyone was friendly and remembered your order, and that carried over to the restaurant with a seemingly never ending flow of Rose that didn't have to be asked for. Writing this review on the last day of an 11 day stay with my family of 4, two boys age 8 and 10. Having read previous mixed reviews I was apprehensive about what to expect as we had a lot of boxes to tick! Fortunately our only major disappointment was with Tui, we would definitely book again but with another agent. The hotel building and location is stunning, so many wonderful views you can see why they have 35 weddings booked this season. With over 400 rooms it is a huge, spread out site which we liked as there is lots to explore but others with mobility issues may struggle, although there are hop on golf buggies and lifts. A big win for us were the number of pools and although a few did the whole towels down to reserve it isn't necessary and discouraged by management. The hotel staff are constantly working to maintain the grounds and this dedication continues through to the rooms and dining areas. They all take pride in their work and treat you like a special customer. Kudos to Irene, George and Mikos in the Shake and Mix cocktail bar and the attentive Maria Lucille Ramos in the main Aegaen restaurant. Food and drink for an all inclusive we think is very good and have had no dodgy tummies! Our boys love ordering the non-alcoholic cocktails and slushies. Bottled water is available at every bar and the sparkling wine a pre-dinner winner. We only booked the Chinese and Italian restaurants, both pretty standard but could eat as much as we wanted and were beautifully themed. Dinner in the main restaurant is a bit frantic but food is rotated well and you rarely have to wait more than a couple of minutes for anything to be replenished. We preferred the smaller Mythos restautant for breakfast and Ocean restaurant at lunchtime, the mid-morning waffle will also be missed. Highly recommend paying extra for a swim up room if available as these were built in 2020, very clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet considering how close were were to everything (room 8301). The location is remote but again we liked this. There are several options to explore more of Kos if you want to. Buses run Tuesday and Fridays into Kos Town €6 pp. I highly recommend hiring a car from the on site company, it cost us €85 for a day. We also booked the BBQ and Fishing Boat trip which was great fun, fab crew and just long enough to entertain the children! We spent an unexpected amount of time on the beach which is shingle/volcanic sand and gets hot. It is difficult to directly enter the water but a buoyant jetty allows for some snorkelling. As much as we tried (and the entertainment staff pushed!!) our boys weren't interested in most of the kid's activity schedule accept football, which could have been better coordinated, too many children! The staff in the watersports hut are excellent and €100 was well spent on the Crazy Sofa, a real highlight. We dipped into the currated evening entertainment which was musical theatre based, fine if you like that sort of thing, just a bit old hat and I felt embarrassed for the performers who were obviously talented. The day the entertainment team were off a Dutch rock duo played and were very enjoyable. A few tips: "Love Greece" personalised Tshirts are available from the entertainment crew €18 each Bring a cup holder! We didn't and saw someone who did, genius as they do not provide drinks with trays, I guess because it should be waiter service?? Bring cat biscuits, aqua shoes and small change for tips A couple of grips: Music round main pool got ridiculously loud on occasions, twice we've had to move to the beach to get away from the noise, alas we could still hear it.!! Check-in could have been slicker. We arrived after midnight and it took 45 minutes to get into our room as we were the last waiting for a golf buggy, only two were staffed for a dozen arrivals. Lack of encouraging environmental sustainability, there are smarter ways for a hotel this size to operate, maybe start with removing all the plastic toiletry bottles anyone??

Just returned from enjoyable 2 week, all inclusive stay at Blue Lagoon Village, Kos with family group of 12. Food and drink good but wouldn't say 5*; location good as only 15 mins from airport; room very good; facilities very good with several large pools; and service excellent. All waiters & waitresses I came across were courteous, attentive and efficient. “Not a 5 star, Negative's and Positives”

would never have booked this hotel only went for a wedding and stayed for 2 weeks. Positives: room was large and clean, Staff were exceptional , loads of pools which each had a lifeguard. Loads of sunbeds never had a problem obtaining one and all come with a brolly. Family orientated animation team fab. I am afraid that's all the positives. Negatives, if you have walking problems, a disability or breathing problems this is not the hotel for you, although they had buggy's to assist we had trouble on several occasions especially when it was a check in/ out day. Way out hotel with nothing around it , poor public transport,. Food poor quality for a 5 star, we have had better in a 3star. Not that we are fussy eaters and found the snack bars were the way to go. Tourist Tax 140 Euro before we even got a key, No way is this hotel a 5 star. Room cleaners came into rooms even though you put your red sign out so it pays to make sure everything is tucked away. We Still had a fab time , who does not when your in the sunshine, but we would never return to this hotel.
