“Great hotel, brilliant approach to allergies and excellent entertainment team.”

We travelled to the Blue Lagoon Village in May 2024 as a family of four - two adults, one 3-year-old and one 10 month old. The hotel itself is a village – it is sprawling, but they do a good job of making sure everything is accessible for everyone. We only used the golf buggy service a few times, the rest of the time we walked everywhere which was fine, even with two young kids. There are loads of different facilities and they do a brilliant job of keeping everything clean and tidy, it was quite windy while we were there, but they still managed to keep rubbish which was being blown around to a minimum! There were two points which really made this holiday special for us. Firstly, their approach to allergies. Our son is allergic to both gluten and dairy, they really make him quite ill. We spoke to guest relations on our first day and they made sure every restaurant we visited (and the gelataria) had a meal ready for him at a specific time. This was excellent and he was able to enjoy a holiday with no adverse reactions to food, this made a massive difference to us. A special mention goes to Ali and Irdil from the Ocean/Italian restaurants. They remembered him every time we saw them and made sure his ‘special’ food was prepared without question. Irdil also brought us a bottle of sparkling wine for our anniversary at lunch one day. Secondly, the entertainment team, they do the shows and lots of activities during the day. Before we had children we never really got involved in this side of hotels. However, this team, made my son’s holiday so special. He had his face painted every night, played mini golf with them multiple times and went to the mini disco they run every night (which our 10-month-old also loved). A special mention has to go to Mina, Malena and Lorenzo. Despite working so hard with everything they have going on; they always went out of their way to have a chat and give a hug to a 3-year-old which made all the difference to him. A couple of points for improvement: Just stock the fridges in the rooms with waters and a couple of beers each day. The best all inclusive resorts on the Greek islands do this. It keeps everyone happy and hydrated. The Bbq restaurant is an interesting idea where you cook your own food, yet it neither feels a bit in between as you still must wait for waiters etc. (the service was the worst at this restaurant, and the slow cooking made it awkward with the kids). Why don’t you let people pour their own drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) to remove the service issue and maybe let people choose their food which is then cooked in front of them? It might feel a bit more like a unique experience. Overall, a brilliant hotel which we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thank you for our stay.

“Lovely holiday with family and friends”

Hotel is beautiful and very clean!! Staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food was average and some nights struggled with what to eat. Hotel is beautiful and very clean!! Staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food was average and some nights struggled with what to eat. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, no local shops in walking distance. Hotel shop is expensive, with no price labels on items. BBQ was disappointing, you have to cook your meat yourself, which takes ages! Chinese restaurant was standard, the Italian was the best one out of the three.

“Not a 5 star, Negative's and Positives”

would never have booked this hotel only went for a wedding and stayed for 2 weeks. Positives: room was large and clean, Staff were exceptional , loads of pools which each had a lifeguard. Loads of sunbeds never had a problem obtaining one and all come with a brolly. Family orientated animation team fab. I am afraid that's all the positives. Negatives, if you have walking problems, a disability or breathing problems this is not the hotel for you, although they had buggy's to assist we had trouble on several occasions especially when it was a check in/ out day. Way out hotel with nothing around it , poor public transport,. Food poor quality for a 5 star, we have had better in a 3star. Not that we are fussy eaters and found the snack bars were the way to go. Tourist Tax 140 Euro before we even got a key, No way is this hotel a 5 star. Room cleaners came into rooms even though you put your red sign out so it pays to make sure everything is tucked away. We Still had a fab time , who does not when your in the sunshine, but we would never return to this hotel.

“Defo not 5star”

No robes . . Constantly chasing things up. .broken window. . Terrible cleaner .in the end banned him from coming in the end .reception manager had attitude and didnt want to help . . Basicly over rode everything i said even with evidence. . Ants were bad which was fine but after they came with spray were left in a pile dead for 4days inside and out. Had to ring AGAIN to get them cleaned. 3 of us staying only 2 towels, 1pillow. . Felt like i was being a pain ringing for stuff that should have been there.not what u want to do on a holiday. Cleaner made the bed with crumbs in bed after toddler ate. Didnt even mop floor most days . . Was a constant drama. Peoples plates etc was left for days outside on wall ..defo not a 5star hotel .food cheap and cold. Fatty meats unedible. Puddings were nice but very repetitive. Service in restaurants lacking .constantly had to chase to get cutlery and our tables and high chairs cleand. . New staff starting when we there . The place was a shambles .what i will say was grounds were incredibly clean. . Running at a 3 star hotel but could be a 5star if they upped there game to stop scrimping and scraping to cheap food and drinks and sorted management . . Would not recommend the expensive upgrade as not a deluxe although pool was lovely and clean but very cold as were all the pools so we avoided. . What was meant to be a luxery holiday was. A let down. Have been to better 3 star hotels .will not be returning . . .entertaining ok,ish they work hard and are nice people. . Shame about manager
