Beautiful refurbished 4 star hotel. Some water problems when it rained. Staff are very pleasant & helpful. Comfy lounges to sit in. Pool area nice, but some of the sunbeds on grass and slopes. The room was very nice and big. There was no view from the balcony, but we did book 2 days before travelling. The restaurant was a little chaotic at bfast and dinner, lots of people getting in each others way, no real flow to it. The coffee machines are incredibly slow, thus long queues forming. The food was good and varied but sometimes not very hot. They had a theme most nights, Spanish, gala, Ethnic etc. I really think the way of dining needs looking at. There was another restaurant but this was closed, maybe because out of season. The bar at night was waiter service, and this could take a while.to get served, drinks and snack prices were very comparable to the bars on the promanade. There is entertainment on in the evening starting around 9.30/10pm this really needs looking at as it was terrible. Some negatives, but it is a really nice hotel and I would definitely stay there again I think these were teeting problems as it had only just opened up after being refurbished. The position of the hotel is perfect right on the promanade with views of the sea which are stunning. Lots of bars and restaurants and a few minutes walk to the Marina. First time in Benelamadena and won't be our last.

Swim at your own risk as the three pool attendance stand in a group all day playing with there phones and if you have the premium room prepare to have a conversation with the staff at reception most days to get the water the you paid for in the fridge At check-in there is a pest of a man who insisted on taking the cases so he can take to your room for tip and hangs around like a bad smell until you tip him to the evening its a unpleasant experience with to types of entertainment at very high volume of music with very bright lights shining up to the premium rooms sono relaxing at all a lot of the food in the restaurant has no food description labels

The Triton is hard work due to the design of the hotel and lack of signage. At the pool and looking for a toilet, there is no indication where they are, expect a long walk (going back to your room could be easier). The servery area should be doubled to accommodate the number of people in the only restaurant that was open, there are more but hotel chose not to open them. No toilet or sink on the same floor as the restaurant, big hygiene issue here, and the one down a level was locked by 7pm - again the challenge is on. If you do find one you will find no or broken soap dispensers, should not be like this after 3 months of use. The hotel leaks through the windows and ceiling in the new areas,not much rain to test them out. Lifts are small and slow, navigation is difficult. Cosmeticly the hotel is very modern and furnished very well. Actually never seen so many areas to sit. Rooms and balcony are very spacious but no kettle or tea making facilities.

This hotel was a real mixed bag, some good bits and some not so good. Check-in was efficient and welcoming by the helpful reception staff. On arrival to our room we were pleasantly surprised to find we had been upgraded to a full sea-view room with the additions of coffee machine with supplies (no kettle), slippers/robes, free safe and pool towels. The room was great, walk-in shower, roomy, balcony and lovely view. The only downer was the toilet kept blocking (like some of the public area ones), We reported it to reception and they unblocked it each time. We were on the 5th floor and did not find the lifts a problem. The hotel is large and spread out (a fair bit of walking is involved to get anywhere such as restaurant and pool area) so may not suit everyone especially as directions are not great. Hotel has a smart appearance, very modern and clean. It has a great rooftop sky bar that can be used by all guests after 5pm (before that Premium guests only). The priority area for improvement is the restaurant. Once you have found the restaurant, you then have to wander the restaurant to find a table that is has been cleared and dressed. When you cannot find a space then you just sit down anywhere and try to attract staff to sort out your table. Queues for coffee machines run across the routes for guests getting their food and it is a melee. Guests carrying food plates trying to avoid guests carrying cups of coffee. Food & drink did not seem to have their respective containers in the expected locations, guests wasting time searching. Food quality was reasonable but restaurant organisation needs attention, the restaurant is not a great experience for guests. Hotel staff were generally friendly and doing their best despite seeming to be short staffed at times. There was a lack of information on what evening acts were appearing in the hotel and their location / times. Hotel public area toilets had empty fixed soap dispensers, occasionally temporary bottles provided instead that then ran out. The hotel is in a great location for walking to the marina and Torremolinos. The prices of drinks in the restaurant and bars were very reasonable. The hotel could be so much better with some changes.
