“Family holiday”

We had a brilliant time away, our 3 year old daughter loved it and the staff all went above and beyond. Miles (entertainer) was amazing and was so brilliant with the kids, he made the holiday! The food was ok always something different. It was clean and tidy.

Lights hanging off the wall, exposed wires, tv STILL smashed and broken, despite previous visitor saying she reported it, we reported as well, was promised a new tv next day well it never arrived. Food not the greatest, lived off bread and cheese and chips all week. Funny smell of drains around pool area. The kids did enjoy going in the arcade area after tea. Our room was cleaned every day despite other reviews saying theirs wasn’t. Nice little beach literally on site. The best meal was breakfast, nice pastries. Wasn’t expecting the Marriott, but was expecting what we paid for ie: working tv and basic cleanliness. People smoking weed in the pool area on an evening. Lifts were temperamental - one out of service all the time we were there. Air con was good though 👍

“Good family holiday.”

This hotel is cheap and cheerful. You get what you pay for. It is 3 star. People need to remember that. Food wasn’t the best but there was always something that you could have. Plenty for kids. Snacks. ice cream slush. Rooms were cleaned daily.

Currently here with 2 adults 2 children (12) It does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s a typical 3 star hotel, some of the reviews are damming and unjustified. The bits you need to know, the place is clean in the communal areas, the cleaners are in the room once a day to change towels and make beds. The staff are as rude as you’d expect after being on their feet for 12 hours solid serving brits who act like they haven’t drank before 🙄 but do a cracking job of keeping the place clean and tidying up after lazy holiday makers, the all inclusive is on pump so you can just help yourself, there is favouritism over those that are half board, as they come to the bar with cash. That’s the society we live in! The ice cream selection are good and included in the AI, magnum, cornettos and lollies. The food is basic, with little variety however never found anything to be under cooked and worse case you’ll be eating chips and bread all week. The all inclusive pool bar serves hot dogs, burgers, toasties etc as well as plain crisps and nuts. The entertainment is repetitive each night with the mini disco starting at 9, and the odd external act coming in, again what you would expect for a 3 star. The beach is just next to the pool and gives some great photo moments, it is littered but again if everyone tided up after the self it would t be like that. The indoor pool is disgusting, green and horrible but you simply don’t go in it! The outdoor pool has lots of beds, and no 6am rush to secure one, you will be covered in sand whenever you go but you’d expect that with the beach being so close. It would have been nice to have some music round the pool as the only activity is aqua aerobics at 12 o’clock, the other entertainment for kids is located inside but we never used it. Shame as the area located at the top of the pool would be great for volleyball, bowls darts etc. the splash park opens at 10am and although cold has a good variety of slides etc, not huge amounts of room for sun beds etc and only soft drinks included within the snack bar there. The rooms are small no doubt about it but as a family of 4 sharing two double beds it worked. Shame the air con isn’t turned on sooner as they get stuffy so you sleep with the balcony door open. There are a few restaurants located within a minute walk and found them to be good, with good value. There is a few supermarkets, selling snacks etc and the bus stop is at the top of the road. We visited the bonavista market on Sunday however this was £29 euro each way and not really worth it. There is a lack of toilets in the hotel, either the smelly pool toilet on the ground floor, or some located by reception, would be difficult for anyone less mobile. The reception staff are friendly and the lady with the glasses was very jolly, we always knew the room wouldn’t be ready until 2pm but were provided our AI bands at 11 and there is a storage room for luggage. It is standard practice on holiday so pack a pool bag in readiness if you are arriving early. Overall you get what you pay for, if your wanting 5 star then book 5 star.
