The pool bar was expensive , but the entertainment was fun. Two Pools were lovely and clean. We only had breakfast there one morning. Don't recommend the food to be honest.

Main points: -do not go if vegetarian or vegan -don’t bother with all inclusive -aimed at elderly groups or young families -don’t expect nice drinks if you do go all inclusive -rooms are nice -staff are lovely -can rent cars from here -close to beach -expect a dated hotel and hopefully you’ll be pleasantly surprised -incoming planes constant and loud (hotel can’t help that just something to bare in mind- didn’t hear them at night though) -butlins-style entertainment Do not be fooled by the pictures of this hotel, nor the apparent “4 stars” it boasts. Whilst the atrium and lights appear to deliver a high end stay, the reality is quite different. I must first say that the hotel room was lovely. As per most European hotels the “double room” had 2 single beds pushed together. However, the room was clean and promptly serviced daily. The balcony was of a good size and the bathroom offered both types of shower head with a well lit large mirror. The air conditioning needed to be left on full all day to be cool enough in the evening which wasn’t much of a problem- just quite wasteful of energy. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is well situated in between Arrecife and Puerto Del Carmen with a maximum taxi round trip to either being approximately €18. Local amenities included a Spar which was well stocked, a nice selection of bars and restaurants and several nice beaches in front of the hotel. The hotel also had a well priced rental car system with cars available the same day. We rented a Toyota i15 for €33 for 23 hours (10am until the following 9am) which was easy to obtain, return and drive. Now I move to the issues. The core of the issues lie with the vibe of the hotel. This is absolutely not a couples holiday or young group hotel. The people who stay at this hotel appeared to mainly be elderly groups or families. Each night there was a booming cheesy disco which echoed through the whole hotel until midnight. The hall ways and building itself felt like a cream-washed carpark. The decor is dated and gives a cheap impression. There are plastic “bamboo” beams around the whole place for no apparent reason at all. The drinks were the worst part. The only drink that tasted remotely like what you expected was the lemon Fanta. They had san Miguel on tap, although it was mostly watered down tasting. The cocktails are pre-made vats which don’t taste anything like what you’re expecting. There was sangria, white wine and red wine on tap by the pool. The orange juice was essentially cordial and apple juice wasn’t offered. You could pay more to have different drinks (the only other type of beer we could see was Madri). Staff interrupt the pool users with announcements of entertainment every hour. The staff clearly do a good job at hosting these so props to them. These included mingolf, darts, group yoga, volleyball, French ball etc. The vibe around the pool was by no means peaceful however. Lunch at the “pool bar” had to be eaten dressed and under their canopy. You couldn’t eat anything besides donuts around the pool. The majority of people were all inclusive. On arrival to the hotel we were told there was a late pre-prepared cold meal for us at 11pm. This had several types of deli meats, a slice of cheese and a small amount of white fish. There was not a vegetarian option. But bread rolls were plentiful. Walking into this grossly decorated hotel, being affronted by the dire disco and then being given that plate had me searching new hotels to stay in for the rest of our time here. Having said this, if you don’t plan on spending much time in the hotel or you are a young family then this hotel isn’t too bad. The staff are helpful and the hotel is clean. I wouldn’t recommend being all inclusive as you’ll end up going out for dinner in other places anyway. Do not go to this hotel if you are vegetarian or vegan. We didn’t decide to eat in the restaurants for dinner at all due to how grim lunch was. The restaurants they boast are only open on certain evenings. The oriental restaurant is open Sunday to Tuesday nights. The Italian is only open Thursday to Saturday nights. We did not eat at these so cannot rate the food but the external look left us disheartened. Breakfast included: -drinks: tea, coffee, tropical “juice”, orange “juice”, water, sparkling water -fruit -salads -good variety of breads and rolls -“full English”- sausage; bacon; fried, boiled and scrambled eggs; fried tomatoes; chips; beans; potato and onion omelet; pork slices; chocolate sausages; roasted Mediterranean veg salad -American style pancakes with a variety of toppings (but not sugar and lemon) -churros -variety of cereals Lunch included: -chips -burger -spaghetti bolognese -brown-meat “chicken” nuggets -onion rings -cold ham pasta salad -salads -sauces -a few puddings In summary- there’s a reason why it’s cheaper than other local hotels. The inside felt like a carpark with a Butlins-type disco inside. The drinks were awful. The staff and room was lovely, however. We would not return but can see why young families would like it.
