“Only one night but superb”

An easy 20 minutes walk from the train station. A very nice welcome when I arrived as I was taken in to the Pizzeria Amalfi (all part of the same property} where I was given all the info that I needed for my stay – breakfast times (08.00-10.00), Wi fi code, checkout time etc. My passport was photocopied whilst I enjoyed a complimentary cup of cappuccino & slice of homemade cake. I was given my room key & a key to the gate which gave me access from the street to the B & B. My room was, quite simply, superb. Modern, bright, comfortable & very clean with a tiled floor, 2 single beds pushed together to make a very comfortable double bed, wall mounted tv, air con, wardrobe, work desk & chair, small fridge, luggage rack & plenty of spare electrical sockets. No issues whatsoever with noise from outside or inside of the property, helped by the electric shutter on the patio door/window. Plenty of natural light through the patio door/window when the shutter was not in use. Wi fi was quick to connect to, fast & reliable. My bathroom, like the bedroom, was very clean, modern & contemporary. With a tiled floor, partially tiled walls, shower cubicle with easy to control rain head shower & hose on a rail with good pressure & plenty of hot water, sachets of shampoo & body wash, an abundance of towels, wall mounted hair dryer, bidet & wall mounted towel radiator. I went down to the pizzeria for breakfast at 09.00 & had the place to myself. A nice, served (not buffet) continental breakfast of cakes, biscuits, croissants, rusk bread, cheese, ham slices, spreads, coffee & a one litre bottle of high quality orange juice. A nice, easy & friendly check out. I highly recommend this accommodation.

“Lovely stay”

Decided to do a spontaneous short trip to somewhere to celebrate the new year. Flights to Milan were at the moment of booking the cheapest. Decided to do a spontaneous short trip to somewhere to celebrate the new year. Flights to Milan were at the moment of booking the cheapest. But since I was already there in the summer decided to go somewhere else. Turned out to be Bergamo. Hotel prices were through the roof at the time of booking so looked for cheaper, practical and with good reviews. This was a very short trip, however enjoyed my stay very much at this B&B. Loved the "family owned " feeling & service I received. Ate my new year dinner at their restaurant which was delicious. Place was packed. Breakfast was your typical sugary sweet breakfast that I get to experience everytime I'm in Italy. The sugar rush did help me explore the city on new year's day as my flight left in the late evening. It was not possible to leave my carry-on at the b&b but at the trainstation there is a self service luggage/locker area for 4 euro. Free Wi-Fi through out the main Streets of Bergamo. Enjoyed the modern room and clean bathroom. Will stay here again if I'm in the area.
