I wanted, needed, to have a complete break, and that's exactly what we got! The room was beautiful with a stunning view. We could literally lie in bed and see and hear the sea. Everything was clean, spotless in fact, and very comfortable. The staff cannot do enough to help you and are incredibly polite ( even when being spoken to quite rudely by some residents). Food is plentiful, fresh and varied. You can see your morning eggs/ omelette being cooked as you wait and your evening meat/ fish frying. The puddings are divine and the lady who makes them is incredibly friendly. Nothing to find fault with. Facilities all clean and a lovely friendly atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff!

We came expecting a mediocre 4 star hotel...but our experience surpassed all expectations. This is a modern well run hotel. The moment you arrive, you are greeted with a bright reception and a friendly welcome. The swimming pool area is fantastic with a bar/ restaurant and loads of sunbeds...no need to get up to reserve one! We only stayed bed and breakfast and there are some fantastic restaurants in the vicinity..would recommend La Pergola and Fishermans Inn, The breakfast was great with fresh orange juice, lots of fresh fruit, omelettes cooked to order and a myriad of fresh bread and pastries and cold hams and cheeses. The view from the restaurant and swimming pool areas is unrivalled overlooking the Los Gigantes cliffs. We never thought we would enjoy the hotel entertainment, but it was well managed and of a decent standard. The Flamenco. swimming pool acrobats and the evening acrobats were particularly impressive ,A big call out to the entertainment manager who was very friendly and engaging. Another real positive of the hotel was the price of drinks. These were at a par or sometimes even cheaper than the outside restaurants so it encouraged us to consume in the hotel. Finally the rooms (we were room 812) was bright, modern and had a fantastic view. The shower had loads of hot water and a good pressure. The rooms were refreshed daily and towels replaced regularly. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. The location is second to none, it is good value and the facilities are very good.

“Pleasant staff, but Butlin's standard. 3 weeks was too long”

We went for 3 weeks as my wife needed VItamin D recovering from cancer. We booked with Jet 2 Holidays, which was a big mistake. On arrival with our hire car, we were at first refused entry to the front of the hotel to unload our luggage. Eventually reception reluctantly let us drive in. We were told in no uncertain terms that there was no parking. What they had was Euros 14 per day and there were no spaces available. Park in the street. Well that would be fine except that the streets were jammed. Parked eventually 10 minutes walk away. We booked a superior sea view room, which was on level 2 and when we opened the curtains 4 people were looking straight in the room from the public footpath. When we asked to be be moved, we were told " maybe next week sometime". We eventually got moved but to a room with no door on the bathroom. Avoid the even number rooms and level 2. We asked for a second chair for the bedroom and a small table, which was refused. The hotel claimed nobody had ever asked for a second chair, yet it is mainly couples that stay at the hotel. The terraces do not have sunbeds for most rooms as was our case. Mini bar was extra and very expensive. The food is "OK", but very repetitive for longer than a few days. It is on a 7-day rota basis so after a week it is always the same. The restaurant, like the rest of the hotel has no sound insulation, so with no table clothes the noise level is terrible when it is busy. You can't book, so very long queues , up to 50 people waiting from 7.30 pm. and worse when the terrace is closed when it is windy or raining. You are charged Euros 2.10 for each bottle of water. The house wine is undrinkable. The full bottles are mediocre. The concierge eventually sent us a bottle of wine ( virtually undrinkable) and a fruit dish. Although on half board we finished up eating out (The Pergola restaurant next door is excellent) so we spent quite a lot extra. Having said all this, the staff were very pleasant, and once they discovered we spoke Spanish they were very helpful. The pool area was nice, but get there early because the Germans reserve all the best sunbeds, even though there are notices to the contrary. As you will have guessed, we wouldn't go back.

“Good hotel but pick right room. ”

Nice hotel is picturesque part of Tenerife. Had garden view room with whirlpool bath. These are ground floor rooms with bath outside on terrace. There are privacy curtains that surround the bath area but they can't be fixed in place and just blow around in the wind. They offer no protection from ... more

Nice hotel is picturesque part of Tenerife. Had garden view room with whirlpool bath. These are ground floor rooms with bath outside on terrace. There are privacy curtains that surround the bath area but they can't be fixed in place and just blow around in the wind. They offer no protection from the wind. The hotel is adults only but the rooms look onto a children's play park so lots of screaming children heard Food was very average buffet and not 4 star. Staff friendly and helpful but were slow to notice you sitting waiting. Roof top pools were good and poolside bar was best in hotel. Would recommend staying here but don't waste money on room with whirlpool bath.
