Just home from first time at Barcelo Fuerteventura Mar for my wife and I and we were not disappointed. Booked a delux , all inclusive with daily access to the Spa. Food had something for everyone and we chose different courses every day. Managed the Mexican and the Brazilian During our stay and food was fine. Delux room 7215 was lovely with pool view which was a nice surprise. Used the spa several times and it was fine But steam room did not seem to be full blast. Pool area at spa fine. The all inclusive was good with 8 different cocktails on offer. You just had to pick different spirits on offer. Yes have to pay for high grade malts etc. But still had a few on a/i never an issue and never had to pay extra. Grounds are immaculate and cleaners working during the day. Animation was fine and staff worked hard and always friendly. Not top quality but fine.Evening entertaiment was fine but did finish early a couple of nights. Access to alternative bars and restaurants a few minutes walk. Even managed a couple of drinks at the Castello on our pre lunch walks Overall this hotel was excellent and would visit again.

“Excellent facilities and location”

Great location (close to airport, so I suppose you have to be okay with aircraft flying overheard). Easy parking close by. Marvellous facilities and very clean. Restaurants were not up to 5* at all. More 3.5* for food and 2.5* for service. Reception staff the best I can remember at any hotel.

Having stayed numerous times in both Barcelo hotels in Corralejo I decided to try this one, firstly it is very well situated, very clean, big rooms but it is a bigger than average hotel with not enough staff, cleaning staff always friendly and said hello however, restaurant staff basically ignore you, as a solo traveller I particularly noticed it here, I often waited up to 20 mins before being asked if I wanted a drink, no communication just "drink?" 3 nights I went for my next course and my table had been cleared ( plenty tables available so mine was not needed) half glass of wine gone, upside was they had to give me a full new glass! same again at breakfast twice, table cleared when I was up getting another course, obviously as I travel alone I cannot leave my bag on table, I have never experienced this before. Breakfast was plentiful, evening meals were basic for a 4* rice instead of paella, nothing different lots of rice, potatoes and veg, desserts & salads were good. Shower room that was available for late checkouts was basically a disgrace, no doors on cubicles, no lock on main door, kids running in and out, floor absolutely covered in about 3 inches of water everywhere, nowhere to put your things (again a solo traveller needs to take everything and would like to keep them dry, this was really not acceptable in my opinion. I will not return here as the Barcelo hotels in Corralejo are much better and staff at least say hello and goodbye and make you feel more welcome as a solo traveller.
