“Excellent ”

Stayed for a week. Really enjoyed it. Hotel is excellent and perfect location. Staff were lovely and can’t wait to go back . I had no noise from dogs. Room cleaned everyday by lovely cleaners and I left them a nice tip

calpe May 2024 Beautiful bay scenery is amazing Stayed at the Hotel Bahia Calpe. Hotel is 4star and reading the reviews after we booked we felt a little disappointed! Making up our own mind on how we found it a few of the reviews where true. Staff where helpful thou you pay 20 euro refundable for a kettle and 5 euro for a plug. The breakfasts could be warmer but not bad plenty to chose from. The rooms where clean and the service of the rooms where excellent always cleaned and beds made for our daily return. We had a street view which got the sun half of the day. We did want a sea view and on days of winds am glad we didn't. The Hotel let's Salsa dancing use the roof top bar on evenings up till 9pm you would not want to use the rooftop pool whilst this goes on. Lovely to watch BUT BUT!! It's not always the guests staying that participate as we found out on one of the nights we where going back to our room. On using the lift that holds 8 people but 6 would be comfortable 650kg we where first in, then about 5 others (NOT GUESTS) decided to pile in all male and percided to try and get the rest of their mates In!!!!! The lift door would not close due to the weight in it ( safety )At this stage I got a bit closterphobic and said I need to get out. A bar man told them no more in the lift can only take a combined weight . Three people got out and the door closed ! whilst moving from the 8th floor to 0 one of the Spanish men said to his mates " move forward I smell an English man" we are not English we are from  Ireland but understood his language. When in the front foyer they continued to stare at us and made us uncomfortable. We have since been told locals do not like the English. Spoilt our holiday totally..... Would we return ? Doubtful

Last minute night away in Calpe, hotel was ok, not 4 star, very uncomfy beds and basic room, needed decorating wallpaper coming off walls, no water in room (I’ve been to lower and had water) coffee machine but no coffee 🤣 breakfast was plentiful although the hot items cold and only one coffee machine so in busy times a wait! Underground parking. Bonus at €14, have stayed in the hotel across the road which was much much nicer
