Just finished a seven night stay. I was worried before we came due to the negative reviews. So let's address them. Lifts, yes, they break down. Happened to the wife on the first day. Was 'saved' 10 minutes later. Staff were good, and we noticed lifts not working throughout the stay. We used the stairs but when you on top floor that so called Hill the hotel is on is easy compared to 10 flights of stairs in 25 degree heat! Did it stop us using the lifts nope! Back to the hill. There are two hills the one to the left is easier than the right one. Only two minutes to the beach and a very clean and well looked after beach. On to the pool its not heated people, think of a paddling pool in your back garden in the summer, yep it's freezing, don't forget to get your plastic cup when you arrive for drinks around pool area. They don't measure here and the measurements are crazy. Nearly 70 full of sprit and a dash of coke! Onto the staff, again reviews are correct, some are amazing and do go out of their way to make your stay brilliant. The games room guy is the best, my son wouldn't leave and if quiet would let him stay a lot longer than the 30mins allowed. Lifeguards helpful and even speak to you if you see them in the town just so friendly. Bar staff can be difficult to understand. Bar staff by reception are the best and when you see them working across the hotel they engage with you. Speaking a little bit of Spanish does help. Rooms are clean with maid service every day. Food, breakfast is the best meal time. Lunch poor. Dinner there was always something for everyone. Would we stay again yes, even with some of the negative stuff.

I traveled to Magic Rock with my sister and our 4 children and we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are cleaned to a high standard everyday and are lovely. The food varied every night and was really nice. We have a couple of picky eaters but always found something for them to eat. The location of the hotel is great, just a short walk to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. We didn’t find the hill too bad, but I suppose it depends what you’re used to, as we’re from a very hilly Yorkshire! The entertainment can get a little repetitive but very enjoyable and the mini disco is great for the kids. The entertainment staff work really hard and our kids absolutely loved one of the team members. I don’t know his name but he dressed as the Easter bunny on eater Sunday and gave them all a chocolate egg. He was exceptionally great with the kids. They were sad when he had his day off! They offered daytime activities too so there is always plenty to do. Our youngest children enjoyed mini club and kept begging to go back in everyday. So we just sat in the hotel near by with a cold drink for an hour. We didn’t really need to use the service but they really loved going. The staff are all lovely and we found them to be friendly and hard working. The slides and splash park are great. We don’t use the larger pool as the kids wanted to be by the slides. Great stay! You get what you pay for and we enjoyed it. I would definitely stay again. We are booked to go to one of the sister hotels in July and there is an option to visit the others in the hotel chain, so I think I will be popping back here for a little visit!
