Our airline cancelled our flight from Tenerife South Airport at the last minute, and rerouted us via the North airport the next day and we had to very quickly book our own accommodation for the night. Booked through Bookings.com pretty much based on proximity to the airport as we had a very early flight the next day. After all the stress of the day the reception staff were lovely and welcoming. Our room was massive and well equipped. We eat at the hotel and it was good and also very reasonable. Due to the early flight and the clocks going forward we were a little anxious that we would set our alarms incorrectly or they wouldn’t update overnight. The night receptionist said he would do a walk up call for us and also would have a grab bag for breakfast waiting for us, as well as organising a taxi. The call happened and the breakfast bag was waiting for us with the Taxi. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and made what was a very stressful time very pleasant, thank you.

“Fantastic stay. Disappointing tour operator.”

We stayed at the hotel for Christmas just gone and loved our stay. Our suite was beautiful and had an old feel but was air conditioned and excellently kept. Staff were also attentive and helpful at all times. Our only complaint would be to the tour operator Agoda who did not inform us that there was a €15 daily surcharge per person (there were two of us on the stay) to use the spa facilities that we very much enjoyed. The facilities were a big reason for us in booking the hotel so to learn of the charge after we arrived was disappointing. We contacted Agoda customer services by phone and they accepted that they had not mentioned this on their website but were informed by the hotel’s parent company that these charges are present on booking.com. We found this to be a poor excuse as it is not our responsibility to check other service providers before booking a hotel. If one operator informs you a charge exists another operator may not as the service is included in the deal that they are offering. All in all we felt mislead and will not be using Agoda in future.

“Beautiful rooms and very well situated”

Beautiful rooms , excellent situation, quiet, very well decorated, very clean and competent staff Big choice for breakfast on terrace or inside. Only negative point is the quality of the dishes. Good products but not very well prepared. Meat too much cooked after asking for medium rare

This hotel was ideal as a base for a group walking holiday. Large quiet room with tables and comfortable armchair and a kitchenette. Wide range of food available for breakfast. Reception was very helpful and efficient. I asked to extend my stay by 3 days and this was arranged instantly without complications. Price reasonable for the quality at 104 EUR per night including breakfast. The location is central, within easy walking distance of the historic city centre with shops, museums, churches, cathedral and restaurants. There is a TITSA public bus that leaves directly from the rear of the hotel to Santa Cruz without having to go to the bus station. I didn't use the spa and was surprised at how little was said about it - I didn't see any mention of it in the room. A slightly negative point was the kitchenette. It was good to have the facilities but they made it difficult to actually use it. Cupboards almost empty with no cutlery, bowls or plates provided, just 2 teacups and, strangely, a saucepan. No kettle. Apparently this (lack of) equipment was exactly the same in every room, it was not that mine had items missing.
