Positives: The hotel is clean, fun and in a great location. Rooms are big, well maintained and clean. The pool areas were really nice and very clean. I keep mentioning "clean" but it's a common theme throughout the hotel. For a 3 star it's very well looked after and not at all run down. Staff are friendly, some more than others but show them respect and they give you the same back. The food is good for a 3 star and regularly replenished. You can choose to eat healthy or not! It was tastier than other 4 star all inclusives we've stayed at. The entertainment staff throughout the day are fun and upbeat without being overbearing. Seeing them get the kids up on the pool bridge twice a day to sing and dance to the hotel's theme songs were a joy to see! Negatives; Chaotic at times in the dining room especially for the evening meal. Queues can be 15mins long so there's either not enough staff or the dining area needs to be expanded to cater better for the number of guests. To get a sunbed around the pool you really have to be down with your towels by 8-8:30am which is a concept I don't like, there weren't many parasol stands either. Our room, 471, was brilliant except for the fact that the cleaning staff's replenishment room was directly outside our bedroom window. From 7:30am onward it was a constant stream of industrial trolley dragging noise and staff shouting, if it weren't for the fact that I was already getting up to get a pool sunbed I would've complained but it didn't ruin our holiday. All in all we had a great holiday staying at the hotel. Sure, there's some small details that some might find a problem but the positives outweigh the negatives by a long way in my opinion. We wish we were still there and would definitely stay again.

“OK 3 Star Stay”

2 adults and a 13 and 16 year old went for a week over the Easter period. Check in was easy enough and once you got your bearings in the hotel then everything was easy to find. Reception staff very helpful throughout our holiday. The entertainment was great throughout the day for anyone that wanted to join in and while we only stayed for the hotel entertainment for one night, it was a Abba tribute act and some dancing which was good. They have similar entertainment everyday. Rooms were spacious enough for a family of 4 with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. The only negative with the room was there was sometimes a smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. Cleaners came everyday but sometimes a bit too early and could be knocking the door from 9am onwards. Food wise was a bit hit and miss. Over the Easter holiday you had to queue to even get a seat in the restaurant but this stopped happening after the Easter weekend and there was plenty of tables free. The food and drink is ok. I'm a bit of picky eater and while it all gets a bit samey, you can't knock the selection. However, 2 things to note, 1 being that the food often was lukewarm by the time you got it back to your table, and the other is that the labelling of foods is either non existent or incorrect. No issue with sunbeds. You either got up early to reserve your favourite spot or went later on that day and there was still plenty of sunbeds for you to choose from. There's enough space and enough sunbeds to go around, but sometimes people want a prime spot by the pool without wanting to get up early to reserve it. The issue I found is that smoking is permitted around the pool so the waft of smoke I found disgusting. Check out was fine but you have to put your luggage in a room with everyone else's luggage and there's literally no security to it at all. Just chuck your bag in and hope it's all there when you return. Around the hotel is a quiet area. There are a handful of restaurants nearby and if you're British and like a British or Irish pub to go to then you've got the Sunset Bar, Beeches Brook, Outside Inn and slightly further out the Highland Paddy. That's really it in the whole area though. Route 66 is a good music venue open until 1am and there is a kebab shop next to the hotel too. Would we return? Only if the price was right to be honest. It's not a hotel I would be going out of the way to go back to and probably not the area either. It's a quiet area but the room we had was quite noisy a lot of the time. Whether it was other guests, people out in the streets outside or the bin men there was always something going on while you tried to sleep. We've stayed in loads of 3 star hotels across the Canaries and this is exactly what it says on the tin.

Coming up to the end of quick Easter break (7days) and was worried about previous reviews. Honestly it’s a 3* and 3* is what you get, food was fine, enough choice for all tastes, although food was warm at best. Breakfast was great! I suggest feeding up then. Up at 7.30 every morning to get a sun bed space at the pool, saying that it is much quieter at the second pool but still gets crowded with beds by 8.30. Lunchtime we used the snack bar quite a lot as easier with our 3 year old. The rooms are spacious and clean, we took a travel kettle and bought a couple of mugs, no kettle in room but reception will give you one if you ask. Staff are all so lovely and the animation team has plenty going on. Evening entertainment was ok and kept us amused in the evenings. The local area is hilly but plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The walk to Los Gigantos in the evening was lovely too. Going anywhere further afield was expensive so if you plan to do excursions bring plenty of money. We booked a couple of excursions with Last Minute Tours which is run by a lovely English gentleman and was much cheaper than booking through TUI. The other option was renting a car which may be more cost effective if planning to venture out a bit more. Overall we had a relaxing time but a week was plenty long enough for us. We probably wouldn’t return but only because 3* isn’t for us and not a reflection of the hotel as we can’t fault the hotel at all and our 3year old had a wonderful time.
