“Worst hotel I have ever stayed”

Just arrived home from a holiday to this hotel. First of all we were shown to our room on the ground floor which smelled strongly of damp. We did decide to remain in the room as it was right beside the pool. The room was pretty basic but clean enough, the toilet not great as the floor would get soaked when the shower was on. Entertainment was the usual kids stuff until 9am and the adults entertainment finished at 10.30am, although the bar remained open until 12am (not a large bar for the amount of people so we had to queue most nights. Now onto the food which was on offer which was absolutely awful. They did have chicken nuggets one night but apart from chips and pasta there was basically nothing for kids so thankfully we were relieved there were no kids with us. Hot food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner was either luke warm or freezing cold and not much choices either. We decided to ensure we were there for the restaurant opening one night for dinner, in the hope that the food would be hot. Nope it was still luke warm and the carrots could've come straight from the freezer they were so cold. Finally on the 2nd evening we had to share our balcony with a family of cockroaches. We assumed it was because we were on ground level but after speaking to guests who were on a higher level we discovered the cockroaches had no preference as to how near the ground the rooms were. There isn't much round about the hotel, a few bars and takeaways but we did see a few guests with pizza takeaways. Probably because not once in our 4 days stay did we see any pizza on offer in the pool snack bar or restaurant. Would I return to this hotel, no, never. Worst food I have ever had and I certainly would not take any kids here unless they are happy to eat just like warm chips for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“Good holiday”

Hotel About 45 min from airport . Clean and staff really work hard at it. The room - big and airy, all was ok except the drainage in the sinks , both bathroom and kitchen where stinking , spoiled the whole atmosphere. Hotel About 45 min from airport . Clean and staff really work hard at it. The room - big and airy, all was ok except the drainage in the sinks , both bathroom and kitchen where stinking , spoiled the whole atmosphere. We got a big bottle of bleach and poured down and that seemed to do the job. Food We booked a self catering but paid for 1 day breakfast at the hotel which l thought was very decent for the price €6pp . There is a Lidl about 10 min walk away up a hill, however we also discovered there is a small supermarket 2 min walk turn right when you exit the hotel, also a few restaurant’s here too. Up the stairs across the road is a lovely place called food@home where you can purchase home cooked food to heat in microwave . Recommend places to eat that we tried is El peso £, El BUFADERO £££, Alfonso,s bar (goat meat 😋)££. There is a market Sunday and Tuesday (info from Tui reps ) we got bus 437 to los Cristianos 1hr 30 min roughly , near Lidl . Besides the drain overall great people , great laughs , great views and good food.

We stayed as a family group of 11, we were very concerned about the older reviews which were awful. We were pleasantly surprised with the overall hotel experience. Yes there were a few issues, the main griddle in the restaurant was out of order for two days so limited food options especially at breakfast. We also tried the themed restaurant which was Italian themed, this was very very poor! Service awful and all the food was cold and inedible! We walked out and went to the main restaurant. The positives are the rooms, very good and kept clean by great cleaning staff. The animation team were great! Always engaging with guests and great energy and fun. Overall this is a 3 star hotel and you should expect that level of food etc. I have stayed in similar 3 star hotels and this is the best we have visited. Well done all the staff of the Globales Tropical you work very hard and provide 4 star service 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

“Three star but only just”

Booked this hotel because me and my wife wanted a cheap week away in the sun while the kids were at their grandparents. The hotel itself is quite big (it will take you a couple of days to work out where everything is as there’s no maps or anything) and clean and the rooms are spacious. Air con isn’t the best but it’s passable. The staff at the hotel are great and really friendly. Admittedly we had no contact with the animation team because there are two pools and we opted for the quiet one each day. So I can’t comment on what the activities during the day are like. The hotel does have its negatives which will put me off coming back. There are two bars, one by each of the pools. The family pool bar opens at 10 and the quiet pool bar opens at 12. For the amount of people at the hotel it’s not really enough and they only have one person working at each bar so queues build up quickly. The food at the hotel is poor even for a 3 star. Barely anything is labelled, the variety is awful and many things are extremely oily. If I was made to come back to this hotel then I would definitely be going self catering. We ate out on at least 4 of the 7 days we stayed. The restaurant as well gets very busy. We came to the hotel during term time and the queues that formed in the restaurant was long so I would hate to see what it’s like during school holidays. The area of the hotel is in isn’t bad. There are restaurants and a few bars outside which is nice and there are other places that’s a short walk or cab ride away. Evening entertainment is rubbish. The animation team are trying but it’s all very slapdash and often looks like it’s been put together as an after thought. I think the main issue for me is the food and the fact that the hotel doesn’t really seem to have the facilities considering it’s size. In all honesty I wouldn’t come back. There are better 3 star hotels if you’re looking for a cheap holiday but if you decide to come then go self catering. There are enough restaurants close by, offering breakfast lunch and dinner and decent prices to allow you to forgo the all inclusive.
