“Nice hotel, fab location!”

Just back after a lovely trip here. We booked through Jet2. It's does list as Puerto Del Carmen but this is about 25min walk away. Floresta is right opposite Matagorda beach. Just back after a lovely trip here. We booked through Jet2. It's does list as Puerto Del Carmen but this is about 25min walk away. Floresta is right opposite Matagorda beach. Huge Spar right across from the entrance. A couple of bars and restaurants too. (Asian Home is a must!) A couple of minutes walk to lots more bars/eateries. Taxi rank outside. 10minute taxi from the airport. No more than 10-12 euros. We were downstairs in K103. Very close to reception and the seafront. (Room above us has a sea view whereas we had a garden/hedge/toad view) This room has some accessibility features so no bath, just a shower. Air con is good. TV channels in lots of languages (English channels did have an issue and cut out while we were there.) There was WiFi but we didn't find it to be very good. Air con good in living room. Ceiling fan was fine in bedroom. Sofa bed okay..pulled up and out to make a full double. Pillows a little flat. Rooms have been renovated previously but do need a touch up. Floor could have been cleaner, as all our socks ended up a bit dirty whilst we unpacked. Safe key can be hired from reception. Breakfast was fine, some hot English items, cereals, fruits, pancakes, churros, salads/cheeses/meats. Breakfast room did get very busy. An extra toasting rack would help with the queuing. Kiddie disco great. Good fun. The two staff (Minnie mouse and Mario/Luigi) did a great job with the kids. Starts at 8.30pm. Pools are nice. Good temperature (salt water though) Loungers do get busy..a few more parasols round the kids pool would help as some people reserved for hours on end. Pool bar snacks were fab. (Included for all inclusive but we paid about 15 euros for 5 items as b&b guests) Chicken nuggets, burger, hot dogs, toasties and fries. Cheap and cheerful. We would come back. Thanks!

“4 night break over Easter”

We booked last minute for a warm Easter break. We were all inclusive. 2 adults (one pregnant) and a 14 year old. We booked last minute for a warm Easter break. We were all inclusive. 2 adults (one pregnant) and a 14 year old. Can't fault the room, lovely would suit self catering as quite spacious and plenty of cooking facilities. We were all inclusive with a fussy 14 year old and never struggled to find something to eat. I would advise people to avoid the first 45 mins at lunch and dinner as it's hectic, but other than that, we can't complain about the food. One slight improvement would be to offer Omelettes in a morning, but it's not a necessity. The snack bar food was lovely, we sampled the burgers, cakes, etc again no complaints here. The entertainment in an evening we only went once and the singer was quite good, can't comment on the other nights. There are plenty of sunbeds, a couple of unfriendly staff at the snack bar at times, but I think that's due to them being really busy. We had a lovely holiday and we are booking to return this Christmas with our new baby and 14 year old, that's how much we enjoyed it

“Lovely hotel stay”

We stayed all inclusive for 11 nights in August. The 1 bed apartment was lovely and clean and spacious enough for the 4 of us. We stayed all inclusive for 11 nights in August. The 1 bed apartment was lovely and clean and spacious enough for the 4 of us. Myself and my husband slept on the sofa bed, it was slightly hard but we slept well enough. We mainly stayed around the children's pool next to the large pool. This pool was perfect for our children who would easily spend all day in it splashing and swimming around. The food was average, there was always something to eat but it was never amazing. Our children lived on chips most night but for a 3 star hotel you can't complain. We went out to eat one night and you could really tell the difference in the food and cocktails from a nice restaurant. We would definitely come back but probably not in an all inclusive basis

“Great location, clean and good value.”

So to start with - overall we enjoyed our stay, hotel was clean, staff were helpful and the location was perfect for us. So to start with - overall we enjoyed our stay, hotel was clean, staff were helpful and the location was perfect for us. We stayed at the Costa Sal each year for the last nine years or so, and after finding the new owners has completely ruined the place, decided to try here kn a recommendation. Like the Costa Sal, it’s really close to the airport so transfer time is very quick. On check in we were surprised with just how big the Floresta actually is. Our room ended up being basically the furthest room from the main pool / pool bar / restaurant as you could possibly get. It felt like a trek, and that didn’t get better over the week. People I spoke to said emailing in advance can secure a better room. I wouldn’t stay here again if I was going to be in the same room to be honest. There was some issues in setting up the sofa beds for our kids, but aside from that it was hassle free. Pool and pool area is nicely laid out. Snack food was good - buffet breakfast wasn’t really our favourite but plenty of others seemed to be happy with it. It was relatively quiet for the first few days - but got much busier towards the end of the week as the Easter holidays kicked off. Much preferred it when quieter - so might be worth bearing that in mind as well if you prefer a quieter resort.
