“Good but bad luck for us !”

6 adults one child - We just arrived home from our visit at tropic garden. Overall a lovely hotel and stunning sea view from our large balcony, but we did have some bad luck so let’s get that over with first. Unfortunately my little girl was poorly staring on our first night. She had had a fun afternoon at the pool and put it down to too much pool water as she loves to jumping in but unfortunately it only got worse and lasted 5/6 days, after a visit to the medical centre on day 3, she was diagnosed with gastroenteritis, the Dr said most likely from pool water. Unfortunately my parents both caught this as very contagious. We reported it to reception who said no other cases had been reported. Throughout the week we witness two other children having loose bowels, getting cleaned up and going back in the pool the same day. There was a green goo in the pool so we all decided that we wouldn’t use the pool. We also seen the on call dr at hotel on few occasions, so questioned if there was more going on than what we had been informed. We did witness the pool being cleaned in mornings and the cleaners working hard around the hotel and pool area. The day after we reported the illness the outer pool area was power washed. We went all inclusive for a week the hotel very nicely decorated, clean and staff friendly enough especially cleaning staff who always working hard and pleasant when greeting us. Gorgeous flowers around pool areas. Food in restaurant very nice breakfast lunch and evening meal with selection themed nights, kids area and self service drink area (Extra cost for bottles of wine). Snack bar limited menu for all inclusive but was ok as restaurant opened for lunch for alternate. Soft Drinks available, beer, sangria , wine and only 2 available cocktails. Ice cream/ lolly addition cost but discounted . Staff excellent. The entertainment was ok - could be better . the staff work hard and kids loved them. Mini disco on at 8:30 then adult entertainment 9:30. the lion king show was a hit with my little girl put on by the entertainment staff at hotel , although it was on a bit late -children got restless and more for the children than adults.. 2/3 different singer from outside hotel on other nights. Nice splash park in hotel my daughter had lots of fun when she felt better we used on last day by small park area. Look out for Turtles under wonky bridge! other negative - we would say is bar area in evening - staff friendly but large ques with only 1/2 staff behind bar so you in for a wait. 1/2 waiters clearing tables but not taking orders during entertainment.

Can highly recommend this hotel for its view and staff who worked tirelessly and would definitely come back. The all inclusive is very good and we always found something to eat and the cocktails were amazing. We booked a suite which had everything in it we could ask for. It was however a little tired especially the bathroom and furnishings. The bathroom was quite outdated and the furniture was also quite chipped in places, but It was immaculately clean. The pool area was also good with plenty of beds and umbrellas, but the life guard was a bit too strict on our last day as it was a bit windy and wouldn't allow the umbrellas to be opened. There wasn't any shade which isn't good with small children. The hotel isn't far from the marina but it is a quiet residential area so I'm jot sure I'd want to walk back alone. The only real issue though was an uninvited guest in the dining room. A rat ran out of the kitchen before running out of the nearest door. Hopefully it was a quick visit

“Fantastic stay - great location, food and rooms. The entertainmen was slight let down”

We stayed for a week at end of half term as a family of 4 with children aged 11 and 8. We had a suite with a pool view which was lovely. Lovely views, plenty of space for the 4 of us with a separate bedroom for the children (just lacked a door) and plenty of wardrobe space and a bathroom. Food - we were impressed with the all inclusive. Though maybe less options than when been away before the quality was of a higher standard. Themed nights such as Chinese, Indian and Mexican were all great and the omelette station in the mornings was a winner! Snack bar by the pool was a hit with us all with toasties, hot dogs, burgers and salads available along with cornetto ice creams. Location wise - brilliant. Gorgeous views of the coast line and beautiful beaches are walkable within 15 minutes in either direction. The harbour is lovely with some lovely restaurants and views and again 5-10 minute walk away. We got the bus to Es Cana on a couple of occasion which is lovely and also a cab to the Ibiza old Town. Staff - all service with a smile and very helpful. Entertainment - would say this is only bit that let the hotel down slightly. Evenings were pretty dire but we were happy to go out and about so not the end of the world. Reps worked really hard and were lovely but the evening entertainment was really poor. We would 100% return as an all round great stay. Just don’t go if relying on good evening entertainment if like to stay in the hotel

Lack of shuttle to Santa Eulalia, only bus and variably priced taxis. Very poor evening entertainment. One good show in a week. Poor advice from Jet2 rep on excursion to ibiza Tiwn. Wholly unsuitable. Still await refund.
