“Average 3* hotel and had a great holiday!”

Hotel is a little tired and some of the rooms are a little dated but clean and have the essentials like kettle/coffee machine and fridge. The premium rooms seemed nicer by pool 2 and much quieter. Our room overlooked a busy road and was very noisy, room 1406 and would book a premium room if we stayed again. Food is ok but not a huge choice but what was available was edible and always found something to eat. This hotel is the most British hotel we have ever stayed in and the menu caters to British food. Pool 1 was too crowded and busy for our liking but pool 2 was more relaxed and peaceful however it isn’t heated like pool 1 but weather was very hot and this wasn’t a problem. Drinks are not pleasant both alcoholic and soft drinks but the pina colada slushis were nice and beer ok. We found the staff here very friendly from reception, restaurant, pool 2 bar and maintenance there was always a friendly smile. Thank you to the lovely lady in reception who sorted our late checkout room, she even called us to advise it was ok to keep it longer when we was at Siam park for the day. (Late checkout is not always available and some people we spoke to who left on different days were not able to get one but there is a shower room available) There is a supermarket just at the hotel entrance and guests receive a 10% discount here. We are used to a hotel that has a bit more outdoor space/larger pools/sunbathing areas (normally stay at the Best Jacaranda) but we queued for sunbeds at 09.30 and always got space. We always make the most of our holidays and even if something is not to our liking we don’t let it ruin our stay. It’s not perfect but it’s 3* and for what we paid we had an enjoyable stay, never went hungry but we also ate out at our choice not because the food is inedible. Would we return? Absolutely for the right price, looking at prices from some tour ops next year compared to some other hotels in the same area I feel it’s overpriced. There was a 7yr old in our party and the mini disco was the usual for hotels. We go out every evening so can’t comment on the entertainment side. Would be nice in the future if they could have a self service section for beer and soft drinks at the bars and would help keep queues down at peak times and some snacks at pool 2 instead of having to go upstairs at pool 1 and bring them back. Overall we all had a great time and the weather was glorious, make the most of your stay if you choose here it’s not a bad hotel and thank you again to all the staff who made it all the better for being so friendly.
