“Great location and Good value for money”

We booked here on a last minute all inclusive, our room was clean, modern and over looking the children’s pool. Odd chips in the paint work and the sofa bed was a little tired looking but we didn’t need it anyway we got twin beds pushed together and were really comfy. Room came with iron, hair dryer and kettle, a hob, sink and microwave if you needed it. Had a large tv but only one English Channel (my husband wished he’d brought the firestick) internet was decent only gripe was you had to keep logging in to it and validating. Hotel staff were nice and on hand to advise on anything ya needed to know. Hotel was in a good position and only a very short walk to the beach and restaurants and bars on the front. Pool areas were a little tired looking but we didn’t really go there unless we went to the pool bar as we went to the beach. People were out putting towels on beds early to get the prime spots but from what we could see there were still beds available. Food was served from the sister hotel a short walk through the grounds. Breakfast in the El Jardin, cereals, fruit, yoghurt. Typical continental items, meats, cheeses etc, variety of breads, normal English breakfast items, cooking station did fried eggs, omelettes, crepes and churros, cakes, pastries, jams etc. Buffet Lunch is served in the same restaurant and had salads, cheeses, meats, prawns tuna etc. there cooking stations had choices of things like paella, fish, chicken, pork and then there were chips around 4 hot dish choices like meatballs, lasagne, vegetables etc, cakes, pastries, ice cream, mousse, jelly. Los Olivos Pool bar had a small buffet selection. You could also pre book the day before the beach bar which did things like burgers, nachos, Caesar salad, club sandwich etc. Late afternoon there were snacks available at the sister hotel al fresco bar like hot dogs, pizza,chicken nuggets, sandwiches, chips etc. Evening meal was in the El Jardin and was like lunch but different items. Drinks were available at the al fresco til 11pm, pool bar opened til 6pm, beers, wine, cava, sangria, cocktails and soft drinks. We thought the food was lovely, always tasty and loved the variety. Drinks were good and didn’t skimp on measures.

This is the second time that we have been here. The first time was such a great experience, we said we will return one day. So this time we went for 2 weeks and our family joined us for the second week. We booked trough Jet2 and it was a good experience all in all. The only criticism is that the transfer coach drops you off round the corner and it is a steep uphill climb, especially with cases and kids on tow after long journey. The hotel is not really geared up for kids as no animation team or kids entertainment program. Also its not really ideal for people with mobility issues due to the hilly location and access to the restaurant. If you do go with a with a person with limited mobility I would recommend that you ask for a ground floor room. We stayed AI and found something to eat most days but I am not a fussy eater and will eat most things. I found the grill to be very good as the chief would make you fresh omelettes or fried eggs for breakfast and a variety of sea food and meat for lunch and dinner. The location is very good as its right on the sea front and we made good use of the AI option on the beach. We mainly stayed round the pool as our room was very close to it but we stopped using the pool bar due to the rude woman serving you !!!. We could get a sunbed most days as I am a early riser and saved them on my to the restaurant that opens at 07.00 til 10.00. I cant recommend the "skybar" highly enough due to the views and amazing friendly staff and atmosphere. It is a cocktail bar that is not part of the AI program but well worth the 9 Euros per drink. But it does have a happy hour from 5-6 so keep that in mind. Our room had a roof terrace with a nice view of the sea so we sat up there a few nights and just chilled. The cleaning was a bit hit and miss and the floor was rarely swept but we will not let that ruin our holiday. We found most of the staff to be quite pleasant and polite But I must agree with a review that some one had put on previously regarding the rude woman behind the pool bar. She is just down right rude and a bit nasty to the English AI guests. She clearly favoured the Spanish SC guests that were paying in cash (that probably left a tip). We and some others felt like an inconvenience just asking for a drink that was sometimes slammed down in front of you, especially if you asked for it in a glass after 17.45. Would we go back?.....Not really sure as the rude lady has left us with a bitter taste in our mouth !!!.
