“Location. Location. Location ... Plus !”

Have visited the resort many times over the years & now kicking myself I never stayed at Buenos Aires before. I'd always assumed it was much more expensive than it is. Will certainly stay again. I usually spend a couple of hundred euto in taxis per holiday, plus sweaty treks and shoe leather. Overlooks the Yumbo Centre, yet surprisingly little noise (even during Pride Week). Ten minutes stroll down to the beach. Regular buses to Maspalomas lighthouse from right outside hotel (€ 1.4) (Bus 66 to airport 40 mins € 3.4) Hotel is clean and well maintained. All staff are friendly, efficient and professional. Rooms are very comfortable with sturdy furniture and comfy sofa & armchair. You could eat off the floors. Small kitchen area with fridge, microwave and two ring ceramic hob. Kitchen also has absolutely everything you'd need for cooking - cutlery, glasses, plates and bowls. There's a welcome pack with washing-up liquid, sponges and tea-towel. I went self-catering so can't comment about the food. The Red Cow restaurant across the road serves great and varied meals (their groaning full English breakfast plate is not to be missed). The Cordillo supermarket over the road has everything (reasonable prices, I understand the locals shop there). Bathroom, also pristine, has very good shower. Great water pressure and very adjustable temp. The shower cubicle is sturdy and tiled. Lots of towels. Beds super comfortable. I requested, and was given, room 301. I chose 301 because, at the far east end of the corridor it got the sun 'til the very end of the day. Also, at the end of the corridor, the balcony has a side view, as can be seen from photo's, there is no support pillar at the corner so it's completely open. (That's a good tip, folks). It was very pleasant to enjoy the sun around the pool then catch the last hour of sunlight on my balcony. All rooms overlook the pool. I've stayed before at the sister hotel The Neptuno next door. A little more plush, sure, but only half the rooms overlook the pool. The other balconies look onto the street, or worse, the side of next door buildings. A big plus for the Buenos Aires is the wonderful pool area. It's hard to believe, as you doze in the sun, that you're in the very centre of the resort. Sturdy (very comfortable) sun loungers span around a kidney shaped pool which has a Jacuzzi. The pool is good sized, heated, and crystal clear. Faces south so gets the sun all day. Jolly music plays, but not annoyingly loud. The bar serves drinks and snacks. Smoking and non-smoking tables. Waitess service if required. The bar staff are very jolly and professional. When I arrived one delighted guest was getting the "Happy Birthday" treatment, with a slice of cake and "Happy Birthday" briefly played. The pool bathrooms are immaculately clean, fragrant, and well maintained. No smoking around the pool but the smoking area, two steps away from the pool, is a garden with good quality comfortable lounge furniture. From late morning it's a sun-trap. I've read the reviews mentioning people "reserving" sun-loungers. One or two people do that, but I stayed over three weeks and there were always plenty of available loungers (in the sun). Re-reading this glowing review I wonder if I sound like this was my first ever trip and I never stayed in an hotel before. The fact is I I'm an experienced traveller and have visited this resort many times. I enjoyed a better stay at the Buenos Aires than at any other hotel I've stayed in. Highly recommended.

“1st Class”

Third time staying, cannot be faulted,booked again for 25 nights in September. Place just keeps getting better and better. Staff excellent and attentive nothing too much trouble. Rooms comfortable and well decorated. A good selection of English language TV channels.

“Very good holiday”

The hotel is lovely and staff are very nice and helpful, food is very good nice choice for all . Will be back in November this year with 10 other friends. Will be my 3rd time to stay here and my friends have been here around 6 times so worth a stay if you’re looking for all at one hotel

We’ve stayed here seven times over the last ten years. I’ve written several well-deserved 5 star reviews, but this visit didn’t live up to expectations based on past experience, I’m afraid. We emailed in advance asking for a top floor room. We didn’t get it sadly - and I appreciate that it’s entirely subject to availability. What we did get was the next floor down, so close enough, I guess. However, we could have done without being next to a set of rooms which were being renovated, and we really could have done without being woken up on Saturday morning at barely 8am by someone taking a jack-hammer to the concrete walls in the adjacent room. Not the most relaxing experience ! It would have been nice if the hotel could have notified us beforehand that there were noisy renovation works going on during our stay. Our room had air-con - after a fashion - for which we were charged an additional €84 for the week. I say after a fashion as it worked as and when it felt like it. We had a couple of days where it didn’t come on at all. We reported to reception but no-one came to fix it. In the end, we looked up an instruction manual on the internet and managed to re-set it ourselves; perhaps some instructions in the room might be useful? Our booking was, as always, half board, and we looked forward to eating in the restaurant. At check-in, the receptionist told us that the dining room was shut in the evening and we would be having dinner at the hotel next door. As it turned out, the food in the Neptuno was very good and the staff were very welcoming, but again, we would have appreciated being informed ahead of our stay that this would be the case. It’s really irritating - and deeply unprofessional of the hotel management - to make a significant alteration like this and not have the courtesy to let us know in advance. Breakfast was available, but I wish we’d be sent next door for that too. Every day we were presented with stale cereal, bread and pastries, and over-cooked, congealed inedible rubbish in the hot buffet. Standards have really dropped through the floor in the restaurant. Finally - housekeeping. Even that seemed sub-par this visit. We were frequently missed despite leaving the ‘please clean the room’sign out. Being in the middle of a building site probably didn’t help. So overall, this was a disappointing visit. You can do much better than this, and I hope when we next visit that things have improved.
