Everything was great, except there was no coffee in the room and hairdryer...we will be coming back soon

“Relaxing Holiday”

Would recommend this hotel to anyone. The only one thing I wasn’t happy with was the cleanliness of our room, everything else was good. I would certainly go back if something is done about the housekeeping!

First of all, definitely not a four star. ISSUES 1)on arrival, despite paying for preferred accommodation, room not ready until over two hours after arrival, could not access pool area, as room allocation number needed for cash towel deposit. 2) Had to collect own luggage and transport it, without assistance to our room 3) Room basic outlay, only informed week before arrival that minibar NOT restocked daily, only water replenished free. Light socket fell off the wall on day of arrival, fixed within the hour, but a little disturbing!!!! 4) Although advertises several restaurants, in reality only two buffet areas, others would class as street food outlets, avoid Italian area, very poor quality, limited range available. 5) Main pool area set out nicely, but as hotel became busier, insufficient sunbeds/parasols, second pool adequate only, and preferred club members pool area was very run down, with only small amount of sunbeds/parasols, other furniture bean bags and two hammocks!!! Hardly exclusive area!!! Family pool seemed underused, as many families surrounded main pool with children completely taking over the pool, trying to swim, impossible. 6) Food at breakfast/lunch OK, as chef available to cook meat/fish to order,but not available for evening meal, salad selection extremely limited, other food choices not always very warm,no microwave available for those of us who prefer to eat our food hot!!!! 7) Bars poorly run, staff no concept of customer management, kept waiting many times whilst staff chatting or clearing bar, although dirty glasses taken to seperate area. Staff no idea which customers had waited longest. No waiter service at all, at any of the bars. 8). Preferred customer option, frankly, would not pay for it again,only perk, seperate place to check in, but in reality, room still not available for further two hours, no concierge service to get luggage to rooms. Preferred members lounge, very limited opening times/seating area. Poor choice of snacks, only alcohol, cans of beer!!!, not allowed to take snacks/drinks out of the lounge, even when no room to sit down, still had to pay 20 euros cash deposit, for loan of pool towels which could only be changed 3 times a week!!! Never experienced this at any other four star hotel we have visited before!!!!! As previously mentioned, preferred customer pool area, shoddy, ill equipped with insufficient sunbeds/parasols, self service snacks/drinks, very poor quality and only available for limited time. Overall, quite disappointed, the hotel definitely did not live up to expectation, and fell short in many areas, so as such, nowhere near a four star rating. If you are looking for that bit extra in a holiday, this is probably not where you will find it. Usually stay at Melia resorts and will be doing so in future, Dreams Cavlia definitely not as described online!!!!

A real let down after visiting Dreams in Corfu last year.Average buffet food, no al a carte restaurants as advertised, just junk food “street food” dining. Buffet can rent quality food was barely warm, we ate out 6 nights of our ten night holiday despite being on half board. Understaffed at the bar,. Upgrade to preferred club not worth the extra cost. Would not return or recommend this hotel.
