“Great Hotel”

Was a little worried about the mixed reviews of this hotel before coming, but have to say it is excellent. The food is brilliant, plenty of choice all day, every day. Good quality. The staff are wonderful, and the hotel is clean, well equipped and comfortable. Don’t listen to the negative reviews, well worth a visit. I came for 4 nights with my two sons, aged 18 and 11 and there was plenty to do for both of them. We stayed all inclusive, and didn’t need to go anywhere else for food as there was so much choice. The entertainment team work really hard, well done to them. Great location, near the beach and shops. Will definitely look to come back again!

Just returned from a week all inclusive. Food was brilliant so much different choices each night, as a family with two kids they tried lota of new things, salads and stir fry's portioned out to minimalize waste. Drinks system sounded confusing on reviews but actually works really well, easy to pick up a few extra tickets if you really needed more than 2 drinks each every time. Pools clean fun and cold. Entertainment was great. Only issue was the girl who checked us in seemed to had never checked in anyone before, got in a right muddle and caused extra stress- more training needed! ( after going through our 4 tickets and checking our 4 passports asked how many of us there were !?!?!?!) Train station 5 minutes walk away so one day we took the 1hr train straight to the centre of Barcelona.

“Lovely week away!”

Pros *Food was nice, always something to eat. Don’t expect 4star Mexico but there’s always freshly cooked meat, fish etc. pizza, pasta, chips, veg. You never go hungry. Breakfast was lovely too. *Very clean! *Slides are great for kids but pool is freezing…was May though so to be expected! *Great little park! *Entertainment team work their backsides off, they literally never stop! *Place is fab for family’s. Cons *Check in! Takes ages and your room will not be ready if you arrive before 14:00…like even if the room is ready you won’t be given your key card…so make sure you’ve got clothes for the kids etc to change into that you can pull out your case quickly! *Air con…it didn’t work. Well it did but blows hot air until end of May. So we had to sleep with the doors open, which helped but not great. Noisy and struggled to get a good nights sleep. *Rooms looking out over park/kids pool. So noisy all day and night. So if you like an afternoon nap or an early night ask to be put elsewhere. We asked but hotel was full! *All inclusive drinks/bar doesn’t open till 11:00, so even if you want a cuppa after your breakfast you’ll have to pay! Others things to mention: *The ticket system isn’t that bad! It helps make sure there’s no glasses lying around. You get a drink give a ticket, you want another drink you take your glass back and get another drink or if you don’t want another drink take ya glass back and get ya ticket back! Viola! *Watch out for thieves coming into the hotel from the surrounding area. We witnessed a few and police came etc. so ensure you keep all belongings safe when around the pool. Don’t leave your phone lying around etc. *We flew with Jet2 and it said 2 hour transfer but it wasn’t. It was 25/30 mins each way. We didn’t pick anyone else up with way! Think I’ve covered everything! If ya on the lookout for a deal in the sun then get it booked.

Check in were dreadful. Took around 30 minutes all in all to be seen to and dealt with. Not very organised at all. Then when it were my turn, I felt horrible looks at me from all the others that were waiting. Like people try to push in aswell, and get immediately impatient. I asked the Jet2 rep if it is always like that. She explained that the lady on the desk, well she had never seen her before, so it must be her first day, but then when another lady appeared on the desk, she was bouncing from one end to the other like she didn't know where to place herself. I've only ever been on one other holiday, (Tenerife), where the majority of the guests were Spanish. I didn't mind, but those time I don't feel so welcoming by them. They look their nose down at you, and I dread cafeteria time, not because of the food, all though it does pass as OK. Don't expect any drinks on your half board deal. I went to get a bootle of water in the cafeteria, to which he asked for my band. I told him my room number, and then asked me for €2.60 to which i said i dont have. He shrugged and said oh well. Like i dont know if that is pretty standard though, not having even water included in your half board meal time. There definitely seems to be like some kind of British and Spanish divide, especially round pool areas. British seem to have their own corner. I wonder if they've felt un-welcomed too. Others have no consideration for noise causing down the corridors at all hours of the night, even when snooze hanger is on the door handle. Other than that, location aint bad. Aldi like a 10 minute walk away. Don't expect to get a pre made sandwhich there though like you would get in the UK, as they don't do them. Beach is nice. Train carriage outside the hotel, but I've yet to use it. Can't really say much about kids entertainment team. Tried to set up some kind of special announcement for my sons 10th birthday, but felt kind of shrugged off I guess. Cleanliness around site is good.
