Have just returned from a week stay at this hotel. We’ve had a great week and made lots of unforgettable memories. Bullet points below of our experience: - Entertainment team were brilliant. Kids club was brilliant. Daytime activities were brilliant. Special shout out to David as he was just amazing! - The food was buffet style as expected at an all inclusive. A good range every evening. Satisfied us perfectly. Three griddles with chefs cooking food in front of you. Good variation with lots of different meats each evening. -Drinks ticket service works well! Saves huge amounts of mess around the hotel/pool area. Also prevents wastage which is great. -We arrived at 11pm after a day of travelling to be told that no food nor drink was available which was a negative start to our week. -Check out day you have to give everything back at 11am. Opportunity to extend the room until 6pm if pay a fee however none of our rooms were available and seemed nothing could be done to help which was a bit frustrating as we weren’t being picked up until 6.30 but we made it work. -At 11am check out all inclusive bands are cut. Regardless of what time you arrived on arrival day. So we lost out a whole day of all inclusive and food which was hugely frustrating. Receptionist staff brushed it off and basically said get on with it and that it’s a gesture of good will that we were allowed to stay on site -Check in does take ages. Hit with tourist tax which we weren’t aware of either and expected to just pay there and then. -Rooms were spacious and clean. Few minor defects which could do with updating but overall a nice hotel. -Santa susanna market takes place on a Wednesday which was one stop on a train which is 400m away next to the beach. Big market with shops around. -Visited marineland which too we recommend. Overall a lovely stay.

The location is good, close to beach, bars and shops. Not as good as Santa Susanna or Calella in my opinion, but these are easily accessible by train. Hotel Facilities are spotlessly clean, adequate size room, fresh decor. Rooms for disabled appear to be well thought out. Most of the staff are friendly, helpful, some go out of their way to be helpful. 2 of the 3 swimming pools have lifeguards, the areas are kept clean and tidy with plenty of loungers. The poor layout of the restaurant serving areas meant long queues formed. Buffet style food is typically repetitive, I felt the choice of food is poor compared to other hotels and your meal is cold before you get to your dining table. Long queues for drinks in bar area - alcohol continues to be served to guests even when they are clearly drunk, loud and aggressive. I felt uncomfortable at times. Music, entertainment are too loud in the open plan of the seating foyer areas and there was nowhere quiet to enjoy a relaxing drink. Corridor floors on some floors have lifting tiles and ramps by the recommended adult pool were which are a trip hazard. Large groups and school party bookings have a big impact on the pools, dining area and push the already high noise levels to the max. Holidaymakers should be made aware of the possibility of these bookings on the advertising before guests book. Mobile phone was taken from a bag whilst in queue for the bar. A lost wallet was handed in to reception with contents intact. Reflects more the mix of clientele the attracted during our stay. Unruly kids running up the corridors late at night but things were generally quiet after midnight. Some parents appear more interested in drinking than focusing on their children. I hasten to say NOT all and majority of the children were well behaved, considerate and polite. No issues about staying in hotel predominately for families Overall we enjoyed our holiday, we overcame the inconveniences. We would not return to the area or hotel but that’s personal choice, I am sure others would/do.
