Twice we stayed at Mr. Nelo in Ca Luciano. Great place, beautiful views, lovely family, polite, considerate people. Felt like home, excellent service, all neatly, home cooking, great wine and own mineral water, olive oil and homemade jams. Mr. Nelo kindly offers interesting routes each morning. In general, almost any request will not be ignored. The first time we went with my wife and middle son, the second visit we already had five. We like it here, and I very much hope that we will return to Ca Luciano again and again! Share experiences and car rental Autoeuropa. Experience has been very successful, for which I thank friends who recommended me to this company. They rented a car twice during the year. Both times in Rome, at the railway station. Both times, provide a virtually new car (Nissan Qashqai and Citroen Air Cross), plus insurance and paying rent took wi-fi box - very convenient. Prices, I think they have the best price / quality ratio just fine with me. Special thanks to the Russian-speaking girl Alice for their help and useful advice. Soon again I'll go to Rome, and doubt where to rent a car, I do not. After the trip, I will share experiences, as this time I plan to take a car at the airport of Fiumicino. I hope that the service company again will meet our expectations.

If you're looking to escape to a charming Inn in a picturesque setting in Tuscany, then Ca Lucano is a prime location to consider. Coming from the U.S. to visit Tuscany for the first time, we were thrilled with the setting of Ca Lucano with it's amazing views. Nestled quietly at the top of hilltop it was relaxing to watch the sun rise and set or see the fog roll in across the valley. The green velvet tops of the trees, the glow of the warm colored buildings in the village below, and the pattern of farmers fields made us take numerous photos as we tried to capture the ambience. Ca Lucano is a grouping of stone farmhouse buildings that have been renovated over time. It offer a range of comfortable, cozy rooms from the dining room to the guest rooms. There is charm in the decor complimented by a neatly trimmed yard and a simple but pretty flower garden. The Ca Lucano pet cats lounge nearby, quietly observing all the guests. Our host, Nelo, was very warm, friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived on site. He is very knowledgeable of things to do and places to see in the area. Our guest room was pleasant with windows that opened onto a panoramic view of the valley. It was large enough and had a private bathroom. We weren't in our room much but we can report that it met all our requirements: clean, tastefully furnished, and with key amenities the average person might want (television, hair dryer, Wifi). There was not any air conditioning but open windows met our needs during our stay offering a breeze. Had it been a hot summer day with no air movement, it might have been another story. Our visit (in September) was in the off season so I cannot comment on other reviews about "thin walls" and hearing people in connecting rooms. The swimming pool was in the perfect location and seemed popular. The food, prepared by talented cooks, was always fresh, tasty, and hot. The evening dinners were prepared well. We did not stay on property long after breakfast each morning.

June 2003 was the first time we visited Ca Lucano, ……. “Paradise on Earth”! We just came home from eleven wonderful and eventful days at Ca Lucano. Over the past 11 years we have been visiting Ca Lucano 13 times, staying altogether 126 nights and of cause, we have booked for next year, -this time for the whole family, -10 people. There are reasons for coming back to Ca Lucano year after year. First of all, - “The people at Ca Lucano” ……. a very friendly and considerate Salvatori family. Ca Lucano is a restored farmhouse with a fantastic infinity beach pool and friendly hospitable staff. Like the last review said - be careful finding the place - sat-nav tells you to go up a very steep rocky almost-impassable road, but the road you need is tarmacced most of the way. Once you get there though - wow - it's beautiful. Just sitting poolside your cares disappear and you really unwind. Our room was basic and exactly as described on the website. Walls were quite thin so you could hear people in adjacent rooms or the hallway fairly clearly which was a shame but after an exhausting day in the sun didn't cause us any problems getting to sleep. The shower was never hot, but never freezing cold. Perfectly fine for the summer. The pool wasn't heated and at the warmest was about 26c, lovely and refreshing. On the first day it was only 22c so almost too chilly to use. Breakfast was typical of a European B&B - sweet croissant, ham, cheese, yoghurts etc. plentiful but basic. We enjoyed the evening meal twice with a 4 course meal (e.g. bruschettas, pasta, meat, fig pie) with wine for €25 per person which was good value. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and Nelo the owner was very accommodating, changing the meal as necessary. As for activities - you can take a walk from the farmhouse into the forest, but it gets fairly wild and overgrown after about 20 minutes of walking so take Nelos' advice. If you're planning day trips in the area speak to Nelo as has has some great recommendations for places just off the beaten track. The only reason I wouldn't rate it excellent is the couple of minor things which others have picked up on - no glasses in the room, and the thin walls that some with noisy neighbours might find irritating.
