I dont think you will find better stay than Skandalis suites, its located in the best Chania area, 15 mins from the center of Chania with car, 2 minutes from the best beach in this area, Stavros beach. Apart from the location, which is a small but modern town with lots of markets, restaurants, cafe's, Shell gas station, the family of Popi and Yorgos are the loveliest people you will ever meet. They take care of you as family, they keep the whole area pristine clean, the apartments are spacious, modern, with all you need, tv, ac, kitchen fully equipped, great strong internet 24hrs, hot water in the bathroom 24hrs, private parking space... We stayed for almost 2 weeks and we are def coming back next year, and not only for the greatness of Crete, but for this family also, Popi and Yorgos, thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Maja and Bojan

“Amazing holidays”

We spent 2 weeks in Chorafakia and it was superb! We were primarily looking for a quiet, relaxing place, little further from the beach and crowded places. We spent 2 weeks in Chorafakia and it was superb! We were primarily looking for a quiet, relaxing place, little further from the beach and crowded places. As I was also working remotely the first week, it was important for me to have a good Internet connection and the Internet worked very well. Even there were other guests in the place, it was really quiet. The room was clean and comfy. Popi is the most amazing host I have ever met and we can't wait to see her again!

We stayed at Skandalis Traditional Suites in Chorafakia for 1 week in August. The apartments are as described, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was okay. The journey was super problem-free. The pool was fantastic and so well-kept, you could also use it in the evening / at night, the entire area was very well-kept, the house was super great, and the greenest lawn in the area! We felt comfortable and always safe there. The landlords live directly across the street from a really nice family who can be contacted for any questions, the sons are really great too, the boss gave us some groceries (eggs, melon, figs and homemade hot cakes), and we even went to a family barbecue invited, this family is so super nice, fantastic! Thanks again. The apartment was also cleaned, beds made and even the washing up was done, actually not common in holiday apartments, it was done there anyway, and fresh towels were also provided. We have never seen such nice, warm landlords like this family there, The house is in a great location. Opposite is a great tavern with great cheap food (6.50 € -10 €) the tavern is extremely well attended throughout the day. To the beach you go about 10 minutes, this is really beautiful. There are many small great beaches nearby. However, we recommend a rental car, with this one is also quickly in Chania, the port city, about 15 minutes away. It will be difficult without a rental car. We would book this accommodation again and again. 5 out of 5 stars! Had to return to this gem I discovered last year. Located in the little village of Chorafakia, This apartment complex is clean, comfortable and convenient (if you have a car or enjoy a short bus ride) to all the beaches and scenery of the Akrotiri area of Chania, the second city of the Island of Crete. Each apartment is modern and fully equipped with everything needed for singles, couples and families to have a great holiday. Every room has air conditioning (Important for late June, July, August and into September) The landlady (Popi) is one of the most charming and friendly of all the Greeks I've ever met. She will do everything possible to make one's vacation the best ever. Right across the road is "Irene's Taverna" which appears to be open from breakfast 'til very late. They serve delicious Greek and International dishes for surprisingly reasonable prices, despite it's apparent popularity. Three good beaches are within a couple of kilometers of the complex: Kalathas to the south (on the route into the city),Tersanas to the west and the famous Stavros Beach to the north where the famous "Zorba The Greek" movie was made. To the east is the airport which is only 20 minutes drive away.
