Excellent hotel in the historic center of the Tang West Market.Visit the excellent attractions of the Tang West Market, Silk Road restos, Tang West market Museum and other historic sites of the ancient Silk Roads. All rooms are very good and hotel restaurants are tops for Xi'an gourmet cuisine. Easy transportation to other Xi'an attractions including terracotta warriors etc. Xi'an was the first capital of the newly unified China in 200 BC and remained capital for 13 centuries. It remains beautiful and rich in history and culture. Walk the ancient city walls and see for yourself.

We chose this hotel as it is next door to Red Fort Indian Restaurant. We thought we would get a simple 2 bed room ; instead we got a large business suite with 4 by 5 metre lounge with a tv plus a same size bed room with a tv and with matching attached bath room having a large bath with a tv , bid… Повече

We chose this hotel as it is next door to Red Fort Indian Restaurant. We thought we would get a simple 2 bed room ; instead we got a large business suite with 4 by 5 metre lounge with a tv plus a same size bed room with a tv and with matching attached bath room having a large bath with a tv , bidet , western toilet plus another toilet at the entry with a wash bash basin ; all areas light up as you enter or off as you exit after a minute. Buffet : very good selection for us vegetarians. What I notice in China is limited variety of fruits in buffets everywhere. Staff in reception/ dining armed with translation apps to help. No complaints on any front. Free mineral water here and in all 4-5 star hotels we visited. Just avoid blue mineral water bottle with RMB 25 tag !

Tang Dynasty West Market Hotel is a beautiful hotel where everything works. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The staff is friendly and gracious (although there is usually just one staff member around at any given time who speaks English). The location is good for touring Xi'an. The buffet restaurant is great for breakfast and dinner (I wasn't there at lunchtime). The Fitness Center is fine. The Terra Cotta soldiers are about an hour's drive from the hotel - but you are unlikely to find a more comfortable and enjoyable hotel any closer. Highly recommended!

Two nights at this hotel recently. Picked this one only because of its location to places I need to meet people. Not because wanted to see recreated Tang Dynasty things. There are good and bad and average things about this hotel. The good things--rather central; bus stops nearby (no direct metro connection); super market and quite a few eating and drinking places around (Starbucks, Pacific Coffee, the Red Fort India restaurant and a few Chinese restaurant). Close to the museum and very interesting to watch Chinese senior citizens’ dancing exercises right in front the hotel. I stayed at a suite in a separate building. The room is very spacious. The bad—not much service available anywhere in the hotel; especially lack of English instructions. Only one drive way to the hotel, so be prepared for taxi drivers drop you off at front or end of the square then walk and climb stairs. The room was decorated to local luxury standard. Large space with Chinese furniture. Curtains, lights, toilet etc are all automatic. Can watch TV in the bath. But everything just looked a bit tired. Hard bed and hard chair. Old towels and linen. The coffee machine as decoration. The bathroom has strong drainage odour. The average—breakfast was OK. Not sure will stay there again as there are quite a few international hotel brands in Xi’an.
