“This is why we keep coming back”

This was our 4th stay at the IC Bali, and although it’s been six years since our last stay we were treated as returning royalty and it was lovely seeing some of the team members still there. We always book a Duplex Suite with Club Lounge access. This suite is perfect for 2 adults and 2 children (or in our case 3 adults and 1 child as our oldest is 14 yo and classified as an adult) with a king bed on the top floor “balcony” and a sofa bed and space for rollaway downstairs. IC Bali’s Club is one of the best club products we’ve come across with a perfectly composed a la carte breakfast, afternoon tea and a generous selection of drinks and canapés in the evening. We loved that we had the option to enjoy club privileges at the Club pool where we spent most of our pool time. This used to be an adults only pool but these days families are welcome too which was handy for us with two teens. A great selection of complimentary mocktails, milkshakes, ice coffees and other soft beverages are served during the day and cocktails and bubbles for cocktail hour 17-19. Unfortunately plastic pollution is a big problem in Bali. Is there an opportunity for the hotels along the beaches to engage guests in coordinated beach clean up days?

The resort is beautiful.. directly on the beach just steps away from the main pool area. The hotel grounds are kept extremely well and all the hotel grounds and facilities are perfectly clean. The staff in most locations across the resort are lovely with particular mention to the manager and all the team in the Sunset Bar and Grill who looked after us so well every evening. We had three meals there during our stay and it was fantastic each time. Remembering our favourite table and room numbers without needing to ask each time we arrived. The lighting and the beach/ocean view throughout the restaurant are amazing and sets the tone for a lovely evening very well. We had club lounge and club pool access for the duration of our 5 night stay and the canopies and cocktails in the evening are some of the best I’ve had at an IHG club lounge. I especially liked that you could avail of the cocktail hours by the club pool - this was fantastic and allowed for more time by the pool in the evenings which we really enjoyed. Highly recommend the Lychee Martini cocktail. We had one meal in the teponyaki restaurant and this is a downfall of the hotel - the staff seemed tired and uninterested with a very poor show cooking experience with a very low atmosphere level . I would not recommend this restaurant and would recommend choosing the sunset bar and grill instead for nights your dinning in the hotel. Breakfast was fantastic with one of the widest selection I have seen - we had breakfast in both the Poolside restaurant and the one close to the lobby, it was great to be able to chose from each location each morning without the need to book ahead. Top class service and breakfast offering. The main pool is beautiful and the poolside table service was really efficient and loved the little buttons placed by each bed to use to request a server for your order. The pool also features a swim up bar which we really liked. All pool side seating and beds throughout the resort are very comfortable, clean and kept well. The club lounge team were brilliant and made us feel very valued and appreciated. Checkout was seamless in the club lounge with the club lounge manager walking us to the lobby enterance to wish us goodbye and wave us off as our car left - I thought this was a lovely touch and left us with a postive last impression. Well done club lounge team you are doing a great job. My one recommendation would be a better acknowledgement of the IHG Diamond Benefit of “Room Upgrade where available” - the hotels policy appears to be to not upgrade the room type but to just assign a room in a different building (still the basic entry level room). The explanation offered was that the room was in the building closer to facilities - this did not feel like an upgrade and more a way to avoid upgrading the room type. It was lacking in any room “upgrade” - we visited in low season and hotel was not at capacity. The checkin attendant just looked at me blankly when I questioned if the room was an upgrade - it appeared she was tired of being asked that question many times and hadn’t the energy to explain the hotels policy regarding this. It’s the first of many IHG stays that I’ve experienced this (70+ nights in a year in IHG). Even with this I have decided to still give the hotel 5 review stars based on the other elements we enjoyed but would love to see the hotel review this policy in the future. To note, our checkin was processed at checkin desks in the lobby. On a final note, my review is not complete without mentioning the wonderful welcome we received when we first arrived and got out of the car - a sound of the Dong bell by one of the attendants followed by a warm “Welcome to the Intercontinental” - it’s those little things that make a big difference and make it not just a stay but an experience - keep it up, great work Intercontintal Bali.

“The place to be....”

Beautiful location, excellent food. All team members are helpful and ready to assist when required is. Appreciated. Excellent time within this property and looking forward coming back. “Amazing time with family in an amazing resort”

This was a family vacation. I knew this resort is pretty big and has a nice location in Jimbaran. Recently renovated and has nice mezzanine rooms. I stayed in lots of resorts, Intercontinental Bali is amazing!!! You must choose the Club room as the perks are amazing! The Club lounge is more private for breakfast, afternoon tea and wait for it: free alcohol drinks between 5-7. Taman Gita has much more selection for breakfast buffet. The club pool is another amazing feature that I was glad I booked the Club room. Anyway, the team is so friendly and the resort is well maintained, and the location is not too far from the airport. So, don’t think twice, book this resort!!!
