Hotel was fine and relatively moderately priced vs the outrageous prices other YH hotels were asking the night of England v France game in Rugby World Cup. The game was cancelled due to the typhoon Hagibis (correctly but wished they'd rescheduled :-( ) What we then discovered thanks to the hotel's front desk staff was that trains and buses and all routes to our airport hotel were cancelled that day and we were due to fly out the next day. They helped us with an airport hotel booking (that was shown fully booked on internet) . We left YH early to ensure we got to airport and generously refunded our stay at this hotel albeit not free cancellation. Service above and beyond.... Many Thanks

“Decent, Cozy, Great location”

I stayed in Shin Yokohama Kokusai Hotel for 12 nights. Breakfast is included and it was hosted at another restaurant further down across the street. I stayed in Shin Yokohama Kokusai Hotel for 12 nights. Breakfast is included and it was hosted at another restaurant further down across the street. Their rooms are cozy, clean, decent with full toiletries. The gym and Swimming pools are available with additional cost. I love the location, it’s just across the Blue line exit 7. There is Saizeriya, Starbucks, Family Mart, Muji, Ippudo Ramen, Mc Donald’s and lots of restaurant around the hotel. The limo bus from Shin Yokohama station to Haneda airport is only 10-15 mins away from the hotel.

“Just about fine”

Altogether fine, room dimensions are even on the generous side for a Japanese business hotel. However, the aircon is really poor - the receptionist at check-in will tell you that the aircon is not adjustable and, if you feel it is too warm, then you must open the window. Altogether fine, room dimensions are even on the generous side for a Japanese business hotel. However, the aircon is really poor - the receptionist at check-in will tell you that the aircon is not adjustable and, if you feel it is too warm, then you must open the window. In fact, they have a laminated card to press this point home. It is also displayed in the elevator. Bathroom is very aged, and has a huge step up into the pre-fab compartment. Toilet paper is of the poorest quality. The room key is old-school - a real key on a long plastic toggle.

Three star hotel close to Shin-Yokohama Train Station and therefore, handy for transportation to the city. It's an average hotel with no highs or lows; rooms are a bit bigger that a regular japanese room but inferior to international standards. Bathroom was a rather small cubicle although functional, and its floor was like a feet above the room floor. Although close to the station in straight line, you have to cross an important traffic junction which requires you to use elevated peatonal passes; they have however, either mechanical stairs or elevators which make the walk easier when you have baggage. Breakfast is provided in another building accross the street and we found it a bit poor in western choices. However, being just in front of the train station, we got a lot of eatery choices either local or international. We think that next time we would pay a bit more and try another of the many hotel choices around the station.
