We ordered Wiener Schnitzel and Argentinian steak and thought they were well presented with good sides and appetisers. Our wine and beer were good and it was a very pleasant meal.

“A nice terras in the sun”

Near the church and by the water . A super sun terras and great food. A little bit more expensive than what you are used to in germany. But great food and good service. After a day of hiking you van enjoy a great beer or nice wine.

Further no real accomodations that would justify the higher pricetag (e.g. no garden). Good restaurant & good location to visit the Eifel

The (really) bad stuff. (150ish for a suite that is really 3.5 stars) I planned a 5 day stay in this hotel for a break with my girlfriend but we shortened it as - the beds were so hard we both got hardly any sleeps and painful back and hips. - Bathroom was to small, hardly any space to put toil… lisää

The (really) bad stuff. (150ish for a suite that is really 3.5 stars) I planned a 5 day stay in this hotel for a break with my girlfriend but we shortened it as - the beds were so hard we both got hardly any sleeps and painful back and hips. - Bathroom was to small, hardly any space to put toiletries in (enough for one), - I had to ask for trash-bin for the restroom - I had to ask for a table for the bathroom as we could not put our toiletries in the bathroom. - Shower cabin was a nightmare, so small that even my girlfriend (who is small) could not move around to do her stuff. - The TV only shows German stations. - The extra room had a couch (nice) and a table and two chairs (not so much) and one cupboard (which could not hold both my girlfriends and my clothes, shoes etc). - There is no coffee / tea maker (in this day and age that is a no no), -There is no fridge (so no cold beverages or perishable stuff in the room) - No Airco (in the summer it will get nightmarishly hot - There was NO curtain in the bathroom (WEIRD!!!) so the neighbours could look in. Had to ask for it specifically - Price is way to high (A castle hotel in Vaals asks 30 Euro’s less and is a full4-5* (staff not so nice though) - Internet is available but at a 28k8 modem speed. So don’t expect to look at Netflix or similar service - Remote cover was missing so the batteries kept falling out. So now for the good stuff. - The hotel is spick and span. Never had such a clean room, restroom and bathroom. Deutsche grundlichkeit I guess - Staff are very nice, very respectful, helpful and cheerful - Restaurant serves good food. (Lots of meat, seafood, Chicken dishes) it is not cheap nor really expensive. - Town is quiet (in spring, summer not sure. - Location is right next to a creek / small river. Very nice - Terrace (especially when it is sunny) is great - Free parking - Bank, pharmacy, icecream parlor etc etc very near. Supermarket not. But without a fridge you have to either leave it in the car (spring is cool/cold) or keep it for a day or so before you have to bin it. I will not visit the hotel again as it gave us bad memories and many sleepless nights (you need a good rest when you walk around in the mountains) If they would do something about the above mentioned I would not hesitate but they already improved the hotel apparently compared to. before 2016. So it is not likely to happen. Price / Quality / offering not in balance. A lot of good things to do in the Eifel though. Certainly will go back for a visit, just not this hotel :(. Sorry staff, you are great (probably the best I have had in a hotel for years)
