“Great Place!”

Don’t hesitate on this one! We loved our stay at this hotel. We stayed 4 nights and loved the location. It’s on the “quieter” side of the river but still bustling with people. There are multiple restaurants steps away that all had good food and seating outdoors for nice weather. It also wasn’t too far a walk to get to all the things we wanted to do. We liked that we could easily get to the busy shopping area just across the bridge or retreat back at any point. There are lovely fountains in the street right outside. This is in a pedestrian zone, one uber had the pass to drive us right up to the door the other we had a very short 1 minute walk to get to the meeting spot outside the pedestrian zone. Bus stop was a short walk away to visit Hellbrunn and Mirabell palace was only minutes away walking. Wear some good shoes and you’re off to a great trip! The room itself was fairly small (bed and one chair fit in the room) but very nice and clean.

“Lovely hotel in great location”

We had a great three night stay in June in the middle of a heatwave. Thankfully the room had a/c. The hotel was very clean and modern and the staff were so helpful with good recommendations for places to eat. Salzburg is quite small so everything is on your doorstep.

My wife and I stayed two nights. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was small but adequate for our needs. My wife and I stayed two nights. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was small but adequate for our needs. It did have an odd odor to the room (locker room?) but not concerning enough to necessitate a room change. The air conditioning was decent. Overall, was pleased with this hotel. There is a grocery store (Spar) very close by. The hotel is also a short walk to many of the sights you would want to see in Salzburg. I would stay again.

We stayed here for four nights but split in to two separate stays. The hotel is in a great location, right in the center with everything just a short walk away. For the first stay we arrived from the airport by taxi so were dropped right by the door. On the second occasion we walked from the train station which takes about 15/20 minutes and is a fairly simple route. Check in was quick and easy both times and they do have locked bag storage if you arrive early or need to leave bags after check out. Also be sure to get the guest mobility passes when asked; They give free travel on most public transport around Salzburg which came in really useful for us. The first stay we were on the second floor at the front of the building. The hotel overlooks a very busy street that has a restaurant right by the hotel and a water feature that runs down the middle where children play. This can be quite loud at times with music/children laughing etc. However the hotel had secondary glazing that blocked out the majority of the noise and we had no problem sleeping. That said, the second stay was on the first floor towards the back of the hotel and this was much quieter so if you are concerned then it is worth asking for a room at the back or on a higher floor. Both rooms were virtually the same, clean with a good size comfortable bed. Good wardrobe space and aircon that was perfect during the heatwave in which we visited. There is a fridge, coffee machine with some pods and a kettle. They also provide free water on the first night and the WIFI worked really well. The bathroom was OK but the shower was a bit small and awkward to get in and out but it was powerful so wasn't a huge issue. We only had breakfast on one of the mornings we stayed and it was OK. Selection of hot and cold food, cereals, fruits, tea/coffee etc. We arrived quite late and many of the items had run out or were very low so I don't think we got the best impression to be honest. Would recommend getting there early to get the best options. There isn't really anything else in the hotel; just a small bar area which serves drinks/snacks and has a small work space; but as we were spending the majority of our time outside of the hotel we didn't need anything other than a comfortable room. Overall I would definitely recommend the hotel. If it a perfect base for sight seeing around the city and was a very comfortable stay.
