In our many past visits to Barcelona we always stayed at Le Meridien on Rambla. This time we decided to try smth new in the same area . Searching on the web , I came across Rivolo Rambla and I especially liked the wide terrace for some rooms with a view over Rambla and Barcelona’s skyline. So I booked a double bed comfort room. And it was the right decision. The hotel is located right on the Rambla, across Carrefour supermarket. We arrived at 11 am and the room was ready at about 1 pm. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and the amenities. It is pretty big for the central hotel, lots of sunlight and air. Since it was on the 6th floor with a wide terrace with a table and chairs it made our stay so much more enjoyable. Having breakfast or a smoke on the terrace is priceless . I don’t think there is any other hotel in the vicinity who can offer the same experience (except for super expensive suites in Le Meridien). The only downside of the room was on the 7th floor there is a bar and when they start moving the furniture and cleaning there, you can hear all of that noise. Same for vacuum cleaning of the corridors. But the walls between the rooms were sound proof . May be the management can take a note ask its cleaning staff to be more respectful to the guests’ comfort. The front office were nice guys and girls . It was always good to talk to them. We didn’t have breakfast there . Also, the hotel doesn’t have parking so you will need to park somewhere nearby - there are several underground parking in all directions. You can purchase a weekly pass for about 80 euro . Which we did. Cheaper 3 times than parking in a hotel garage. The decor of the hotel may look simple but it is functional and tasty in the Barcelona style. We loved it and it looks like it has become our favourite hotel in Barcelona. We will certainly be back. I want to mention specifically Maite in the reservation dpt who was very nice even before we came , and I suspect she allocated us a great room. Much appreciated!

“Perfect location”

Great hotel, really clean & staff were very friendly & helpful, an excellent location top end of Las Ramblas, 5 minute walk to La Boqueria Market which is a really good place to try a variety of local cuisine. Great hotel, really clean & staff were very friendly & helpful, an excellent location top end of Las Ramblas, 5 minute walk to La Boqueria Market which is a really good place to try a variety of local cuisine. Round the corner is Gothic quarter & there is plenty of bars & restaurants on Las Ramblas although based on reviews you get better quality and value on the side streets off Las Ramblas itself. Would definitely stay again

All of the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, honourable mentions to Agusti, Juan, Javier, Patricia, Carmen, Mariona, Jordi and Sharon. They gave great recommendations of where to eat. We were leaving too early to have breakfast one day. They gave us a fantastic pack up that lasted all day! The roller blind didn't work and they fixed it within 15 minutes. We were originally on the front of the hotel which was incredibly noisy because the window didn't shut properly (hence very good not excellent). We asked to change rooms which they managed to accommodate on the third night. Excellent rooms, very comfortable beds and a beautifully fitted, large en-suite bathroom. The breakfast selection available was incredible. A huge range of options - fruit, yogurts, sandwiches, pastries, cakes, cooked breakfast etc. You name it, it was there! Fantastic location - 5 minutes walk from Place Catalunya from where you get get a bus or the Metro to anywhere you want to go.

“Good hotel in amazing location”

The location is fantastic, right on La Rambla, perfect for sightseeing and near Plaça de Catalunya. Clean and fresh room (and common areas) with a comfortable bed and good wifi. The location is fantastic, right on La Rambla, perfect for sightseeing and near Plaça de Catalunya. Clean and fresh room (and common areas) with a comfortable bed and good wifi. You pay for the central location, so the cost-benefit is quite subjective here. I was a bit disappointed with the staff. Not service-minded and seemed unengaged. Otherwise a good hotel.
