“Great location, very good place to stay”

Easy to find and a great location by the cablecar. We had a garage for our car. The room was very comfortable and the service and food both at dinner and breakfast was very good indeed.

A stunning location for this mountain lodge hotel. Food was excellent and rooms had wonderful views of the mountains. A stunning location for this mountain lodge hotel. Food was excellent and rooms had wonderful views of the mountains. Unfortunately the bar terrace overlooked the entrance and car park rather than the mountains and no sun loungers were provided to sit back and soak up the mountain air. The cable car was not working when we were there but this is not part of the hotel. However as the trip up the mountain was a key part of our holiday we were disappointed the hotel did not tell us. A wonderful stay and great walks in the hills and wooded valleys and great drive up to the hotel itself.

The outstanding feature of this Parador is the stunning views of the Mountains of the Picos de Europa. The outstanding feature of this Parador is the stunning views of the Mountains of the Picos de Europa. Our room had a huge, glazed Spanish Balcony which looked out directly onto the mountain peaks just a short distance away. Beware, however, that the lift does not go beyond the first floor and reaching our room entailed a further three flights of stairs, totalling 25. The staff, who are very pleasant and helpful, were eager to help us with our luggage on arrival but less keen the next morning, when they were busy with check-outs. As at most paradors out of season, there does not appear to be much in the way of staff beyond those directly engaged in reception or the bars and cafeterias. The temperature was unusually cold for Spain (about 15C). The rooms are provided with heating (This is the mountains, after all! ) but it did not come on until 7.30p.m. When it did, it was very efficient. The food is average. There is a restaurant which has a good reputation just across the road but that was closed and the nearest town is some distance away. Private (not secure) parking.

“Lovely Location”

Lovely location surrounded by mountains and really good comfortable rooms. Was rather disappointed that one had to book time slots for dining room - evening meal and breakfast. Breakfast rather expensive to competition. Needs improvement on customer facing customer service.
