“Beautiful Hotel….”

Easily found on the main street of Mojacar, a large spacious car park and gorgeous grounds. The staff at the reception was welcome and friendly. The whole hotel is gorgeous and a maze of quaint spaces. Our room was spacious and honestly wonderful. Lots of little extras that are missed at other hotels. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the bar or restaurant as my partner had a cold and therefore had to stay in bed. The whole experience, however, was lovely.

“Location + clean and modern and sea views”

We spent a week here in April 2024 and it was good, let me tell you more. First impressions, great location, in the middle of the playa so everything is really within walking distance. Impressive facade with the white walls and looks well kept, other hotels on the playa don't look as well maintained. Parking as promised was available and is free which is a bonus, I can imagine in Summer the parking may get busy as we took the last space and this was low season and hotel was half full. This could be an issue in high season as Mojacar Playa is terrible for parking at the best of times. Reception and common areas are clean and modern, looks impressive and seems really well maintained (in Spain this is not always the case believe me). Staff on reception were friendly, having lived in Mojacar and having had a house here for 20+ years I didn't need information but I am sure they would have helped with this if needed. Room was on First Floor, I had booked a Superior Room. On entry I have to say it was clean and tidy but don't expect anything jaw dropping. The room is an OK size, bed was actually very big (Super king maybe) with a little bit of space around the bed to walk but not much more. The set up in the room throws you a little because it doesn't have a patio door as you expect but instead a solid wooden door and a small window looking out on to the balcony. This means the room is dark when you first walk in but I understand this is because the Spanish prefer the darkness in Summer to keep the room cool, it actually makes complete sense but as a Brit feels strange, especially when you have such a magnificent sea view. Bathroom was clean and fairly well sized (two sinks which is nice). Shower over bath, not my preference (prefer shower only) but I imagine with kids people may need baths. Downside is the water pressure is very low, shower is a bit of a trickle so dont be expecting US style blow your head off power shower. No USB ports but plenty of plug sockets, hairdryer but no ironing facilities and worst of all no tea or coffee making facilities !! Balcony was a nice size with 2 sun loungers and a large table and best of all a direct sea view, this was a real plus of this hotel. It was also nice and peaceful but surrounded by balconies I can only imagine that in Summer it is really noisy (especially as it also overlooks the pool area) Dining Room and Bar are combined, nice large seating area outside and dining area is huge. It does feel a little like a large open space you'd find in a conference or office, lacks character but then it is practical and you do have nice sea views with floor to ceiling windows around the whole area. Bar area we felt could be a little less practical and modern. You could get coffee from here in the morning to have in the room if you weren't going inclusive or breakfast included but this wasn't something you we were told about, we had to basically explain what we wanted every morning. I would have thought there would have been the ability to buy coffee in take out cups but instead you had to have the proper cups and saucers and then balance them and make your way to the room. Also another thing to note was no food served until 8pm. I can imagine in the Summer this is fine but in April it felt a little late, I know that this is the Spanish way and when in Spain etc but I think maybe 7pm would be better maybe until the end of May. On checkout there was a few add ons that weren't ours but this is expected in Spain, I would never just sign the bill, always look through it with a fine tooth comb. I don't hold this against the Parador but always a little disappointing especially as the receipt had no signature when it was found. Staff here though are very friendly, a real credit to the hotel and Parador brand. PROS: Location Sea Views (Superior Rooms have direct sea views) Staff (very friendly) Clean and peaceful Free Parking (although limited in high season im sure) Size of Bed (Was HUGE) CONS: Lack of tea/coffee facilities Bar area is limited plus no food until 8pm Shower not great pressure Room could be updated (USB etc) I would return for definite, it's a nice hotel in a great location and a reasonable price.

“Quiet stay with Mediterranean view”

Nice, quiet and relaxed parador with direct view to the Mediterranean Sea. The restaurant needs to improve their variety on the menu. The staff is very friendly and efficient and the hotel is kept very clean.
