“Amazing Resort”

I have been coming to Lanzarote for nearly 15 years for holidays and my stay at Dreams Resort and Spa as been the best to date and we will definitely be returning. The Resort is amazing and all of the staff are so helpful and friendly. I have already started planning my next visit

We arrived on Friday May 10 for a 5 night visit and were given a beautiful Preferred Club Suite overlooking the main pool and the ocean. We booked Preferred Club, King with ocean view and Unlimited Luxury (which is AI). First of all … this resort is in the European Collection and is very different from the ones in Mexico and the Caribbean. There is no UVC presence which is very nice. They don’t put banners on doors and don’t welcome you as you get to the resort with a ‘Welcome Home’. There is one buffet open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and 4 a La Cartes … with 2 open each night. Also there is a central Barefoot Grill by the main pool which serves light lunch items from noon to 5:00 pm. The pool bars are open 10:30 am to 6:00 pm and then the Rendezvous/Lobby bar opens at 6. There is no pool side service - you go up to the bar to get drinks and no food by the pools. The Coco Cafe is not open 24 hours … it’s open 10:30 am to 5:00 pm and the Preferred Lounge does not have a bar with drinks - just snacks, coffee, tea and soft drinks. Having said all of that - it’s a lovely resort with great views of the beautiful sea. Easy walking distance to the town of Playa Blanca or the Marina (Lasal) along a boardwalk. You use your room card to get in and out of the gate to the boardwalk. Our room was spacious — a living area with couch, chairs, mini bar, desk and a big screen TV then a bedroom with a king bed, table with 2 chairs, toilet room and room with shower and sink. There were patio doors to the large balcony from both rooms. We had Howekeeping daily and our Mini Bar was restocked daily. Turn Down mostly came when we were getting ready for dinner - 6:00ish pm so we only got it twice. No biggie. The breakfast at the Preferred Buffet was good … lots of selection and an omelet and egg station where they make your eggs to order. Lunches in the World Cafe buffet or Barefoot Grill were also good. Our dinners at the A La Cartes were excellent - served hot and very tasty. Drinks were also good! If we wanted to order top shelf liquors there would have been an up charge. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, English is not their first language and our Spanish is weak so sometimes communication was limited. A special shout out to our Concierge, Roberto who showed us to the room and helped us with the temperature etc. to Natalia in member services who spoke great English and answered many of our questions and to Alejandra, our server at many meals who always had a smile on her face and checked on us. THANKS to the Dreams team who sent ‘Cava’/Prosecco to the room for our 40th wedding anniversary with a nice note, gave us another bottle at dinner and one to take back to the room. The weather was mostly sunny and very windy so it was quite cool at the pools making it hard to be down there for the majority of the day. The Preferred Club Adults Only pool was drained due to a maintenance issue so closed for our visit - but the other Preferred Club pool was lovely and not too busy - only a few children. Despite the weather and the closed pool, we had a marvelous time and would highly recommend this resort!
