One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its location: right on top of the Sants train station, which is Barcelona’s main station and connects to both the airport and to Spanish / European cities via the respective high speed train lines. That also means that you are not directly in the historic city. So, if you are in town for sightseeing, this may not be the ideal location, and it has fewer bars / restaurants around as you would expect to see if you were in other parts of the city. Staff was friendly and efficient. Room was decent size and clean. Breakfast is OK. Great location for business traveling, vacationers should double-check if it suits their needs.

The Barcelo Sants hotel checked all our boxes. The location next to Sants Station was convenient for us since we arrived into Sants and did not plan on much sightseeing on this trip. However, for general sightseeing, there are hotels that are much closer to some of the major sites. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was modern with a futuristic space theme. There were fun little messages and commentary throughout the hotel that gave it a “hip” vibe. The breakfast was excellent, with a made to order egg station and a variety of foods. The room was clean and spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The only slight drawback was that the bathroom area was open to the room and lacked privacy. Also, if someone was using the sink or facilities while the other inhabitant was trying to sleep, that could be a bit distracting. The only minor complaint I had is that the light in the closet area was motion-detected and it kept going on and off as I was trying to get things in and out of my suitcase. It seemed to only stay on when I was standing up, not bending down. It also activated the light in the middle of the night when I got up to go to the bathroom – this was bothersome for the other person sleeping. That light was really annoying but is such a minor thing that I’m not faulting the hotel for trying to be energy efficient. The only other comment I have is that the lobby is very open and not very conducive for community seating. We had a small group of family that wanted to meet in the lobby but there wasn’t a real good place for us to sit together. There were lots of tables and individual seats but it was not conducive or comfortable for groups. However, all in all, we enjoyed our stay at the Barcelo Sants hotel. It is a great option if you need to be near the train station.

“Convenient For Going To or From Barcelona”

A modern, comfortable station hotel. Efficiently run. The cafe should be improved--not very inviting and the menu is poor. The space theme is a bit silly.

I am on a company event. On Friday morning, 5/31/2024, when I checked out of the hotel, I gave the front desk a bag to my colleague, who is also stayed in the hotel and was not in the room at the time I left. The lady at the front desk asked me to put a notes and confirmed that my colleague's room number and would stay with the hotel for two more days. I didn't hear from the colleague after a day, so I called the front desk on Saturday morning. A lady picked up the call and said they made a mistake and would deliver the bag to my colleague's room right after the call. She also confirmed that my colleague would stay for one more day. Today, 6/3/2024, I asked my colleague who said she had received the note, but no gift bag was delivered to her room. She then went to the front desk, no one could find the gift bag. I called the hotel toll free number and the guy hung up on me after he realized that I was not making a reservation. I can provide a picture of that gift bag when I passed that bag to the front desk lady upon request.
