“Quite Isolated!!!!!!”

Was very disappointed with my stay here, the hotel is miles out from anywhere!!! Its a bus ride or taxi to get into the nearest town!!! Nothing within a pleasant walking distance, even the nearest beach is a 40 minute walk!!!!! Also it dosent mention anywhere that you have to pay extra for kettle, plates, cups etc, I found this a bit odd if your not fully inclusive. Staff at breakfast were really quite rude, (not all) but most. The only good point I can make is the absolutely stunning view from our balcony, which overlooked the sea, but again had to pay extra, would never stay again.

We were thrilled upon arriving to have been upgraded to a sea view room having only booked a pool view. We were taken to the room in a golf-cart by a very friendly, very helpful member of staff who made the stay more enjoyable. When we got to the room, the view of the sea was nothing less than spectacular. However, the hotel seems to be lacking in other areas, the main issue being the dining area. You had to pay 20 euros per person to go into the restaurant for lunch at the buffet, which was seriously disappointing as there was little to nothing in terms of variety. The buffet is incredibly small with not much at all to offer, especially for children and fussy eaters. Also, no dessert or ice cream. Only a jar of sweets, not even any cake. The staff in the restaurant at dinner came across to be quite rude. It is also so tiny and unbearably loud in there. Much room for improvement around the hotel, a few paint touch-ups and new curtains on the sea view balcony as they were dirty. Bathroom very small with a stuffy bath. Nice hotel to stay at, but for what you pay it definitely needs some improvement. Had we not have been upgraded, we would not have been as satisfied with our stay. It is also in a deserted area, no nearby shops and it looked like any pathways to the beach were blocked. The staff on reception however were great, spoke English and were incredibly helpful and friendly along with the buggy driver. The man on reception was always happy to do as much as he could for us, I didn’t get his name. No other English people in the hotel, I think this hotel is more suited to Spanish locals who seemed to fit in more and enjoyed the Spanish singer that was provided for entertainment, that was very good.

Let’s start with the good. It is an absolutely stunning place. It has the feel that someone bought a village and made it into a hotel. It has charm & character. The sea views are amazing and the junior suites feel much bigger than they look on the photos. As many have mentioned, there is a great selection at breakfast. The staff are outstanding. Every single person asked how I was and it felt like they meant it. Service overall was second to none. However… The suite we had was tired. Very tired. Beading loose on the window, kitchen units were tired, tap on both the kitchen sink and bathroom sink were loose. Despite having a suite, there was nothing in the kitchen other than 4 tumblers. We were told by friends we needed to request a kitchen pack - which to be fair, arrived promptly. The pack did lack any cleaning materials, and when we first called we were told there were no cloths or washing up liquid available - made me wonder how the cleaners managed. Then the pool bar. I went for a glass of red wine. They didn’t have any & the barman disappeared for 10 mins, returning with just one bottle. I understand it happed with beer too. This place could so easily have a full 5 stars with not a huge amount of effort.

We stayed here for a friends wedding in April. We couldn’t wait to arrive we had heard amazing reviews from the Bridal Party originally staying before previously before the management had changed. The first stressful moment before our holiday even began was the fact we booked through booking.com and they said they would take the money out. We had the money sat waiting from the very moment we booked. As time went on no money had been taken out. Whether this was booking.com or the hotels fault I don’t know. But off our own backs worried that no money had been taken we contacted the hotel. They then stated we had 48 hours to pay or our booking would be cancelled. Not what you want to hear when it was ourselves gone out of our way to resolve this situation and when your booked in for a wedding! This was so stressful as being in England our banks kept blocking the payment. After many tries of many different bank accounts and conversing back and forth with the hotel we managed to pay it. The location is absolutely stunning and if you get a sea view balcony is view is idyllic. But unfortunately upon arrival we were taken to our room on a golf buggy (great idea as the hill going up to the rooms are super big and steep). The golf buggy man was lovely and made the trip up to the top of the hill very fun! They had given us the wrong room. We paid for the sea view and 2 bedroom. And got sea view with 1 beds and a sofa bed. We walked back down to reception to tell them and then we were told since the renovation they changed the room names. (Not our fault? We paid extra for the gorgeous view and extra comfort as we all wanted a bed to sleep in). This was then fixed. The rooms were nice. The bathrooms were a bit dated and could do with a bit of a spruce up! The rooms were cleaned to an okay standard. Piles of dust and hair would be left behind after the cleaners had been in. And when we tried to be given fresh towels we were only given 2 when we needed 3. Even though paying for an apartment style room this came with no cutlery or plates or cups. We were told by another guest that you had pay more money for these! Crazy! So we made do with what we had with us! The beds were nice and big and comfy. Although there was only one mirror out of two bedrooms and only one plug near it. This made getting ready a bit more longer especially for a wedding. A few more mirrors would be fab! The pool area was lovely. Nice to have a chill around and soak up some sun. And the buffet area for the food was lovely decorated. Although if you weren’t at breakfast first thing the food would be lukewarm/ cold. The bar staff were very nice too! You definitely need a car to get around as there isn’t much around the hotel it is quite residential. Even for food/ snacks the local supermarket didn’t have much in. Overall the hotel was such a lovely venue however there are things that could definitely be improved to make your stay much more comfortable. ☺️
